I got "rocked" and it cracked the windshield big time. My insurance company contacted Safelite, they came right out and fixed everything including the reprogramming for zero out of pocket. (Check your policies!) I was expecting some off brand glass but Safelite used the Ford!
Battery Sensor Reset (Battery Management System (BMS) Reset):
When you install a new battery, reset the battery sensor by doing the following:
1. Switch ignition on, and leave the engine off.
Note: Complete Steps 2 & 3 within 10 seconds.
2. Flash the high beam headlamps five times, ending with...
Have the exact same issue on mine. Started after the fuel injector recall work and water pump replacement. Sounds like the air box is loose but I haven't tracked it down. Every time I get the noise, by the time I open the hood its gone.
Rural King and Walmart were some of the best prices I found. RK didn't have it in stock but my local Wallyworld did. Nearly $90 cheaper than auto stores.
Since you called me out....firstly, I miss-spoke, it was the booster issue (as you pointed out) not the master cylinder. I know more about what happens behind the scenes than I care to admit - but I am in no way speaking on behalf of Ford. The real issue is the component suppliers and...
How about injector replacement and master cylinder replacement.....but since it's a small number of potential failures we (Ford) will just put a simple bandaid of protection (drain tube and brake pads) just in case you are one of those units.
Have the same issue with my 2021 OB. Had the pads replace under the recall. Much dust, some squak under light pressure, all indications of a more aggressive compound. Pads lasted about 20k miles and getting ready to replace now. No issues with master cylinder (the aggressive pads were a...
Have had the problem since day one. Usually around 70mph with a slight drivers side cross wind. Every time I pull the under tray I forget to try to resolve....
SOLVED!!! While it wasn't anything to do with the turn signal, the rear center taillight/brake light 3157 brake portion of the bulb was toast. New bulb, step on brakes now everything works, signal indicator back to normal rate. Apparently all these bulbs have failure indicators that report...
Getting back to the original issue....now my 2021 OB right signal indicator is rapidly but both front and rear signals are functioning properly and flashing at normal rate....weird.
Update: I finally was able to take the Bronco in for the front brake/oil seperator recall. At first they didnt want to warranty the rear brakes, but they are covered under the 1 year/18k mile. Luckily is was a chilly, wet day - the mechanic immediately heard the racket ( as did the service...
Perhaps the upcoming recall will take care of the issue. Maybe the squeal is an indicator of the issue. https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/ford-recalling-bronco-sports-and-escapes-due-to-defective-rear-brake-pads.4437/
More than likely just additional pad travel after the vehicle sits for a while. The pads/caliper pistons (on most vehicles) can retract a bit after everything is powered off.
