Has anyone recently heard or had their sunroof explode?
I'm so glad I never liked moon roofs or sun roofs. I had one (sort of...it rolled back accordion style, leather...like a limo, so it was a hole you could stand up in) on my first car in the late 60's and it was great until someone decided to slash it open with a knife. I decided at that point, if I wanted to look at the moon or feel the sun, I would have a convertible or hang my head out the window! ?Not the only reason not to go with a sunroof - a number of owners reported theirs leaked
I'm sorry that happened to you.Has anyone recently heard or had their sunroof explode?![]()

No clue. Nothing fell on it. The dealership couldn't figure it out either.I recall a few posts about that on this forum
What do u suspect the cause was on your vehicle
Oh...hell no!I was driving it about 35mph when it exploded. Sounded like a bomb going off. I drove it straight to the dealership and that is where it is at now. They are not sure if Ford will cover under warranty, which I think is BS!
You might want to look for other posts/threads (here and elsewhere) about the sunroof exploding and see how many were covered by the mfr's warranty.I was driving it about 35mph when it exploded. Dealer: "They all do that!"No clue. Nothing fell on it. The dealership couldn't figure it out either.
That’s about the worst case to get a satisfactory resolution or so it would seem if Ford won’t budge to make this “right”No clue. Nothing fell on it. The dealership couldn't figure it out either.
