You must take weight of each vehicle in consideration. I have a 2.0 and also test drove the 2.3 , imo the 2.0 is is equivalent with full on torque and speed .

Ford Bronco Sport 2.3L Option in the future? E6A99B29-4053-40F3-9FF0-93D6A4310E19

I am comparing the LIncoln MKC with both engines. Not the Bronco Sport. How can you compare the 2.3 to the 2.0 on the BS when the 2.3 isn't offered? In testing done with the 2.0 vs. the 2.3 on the Lincoln MKC the 2.3 was just a few ticks quicker. Interesting tidbit of info, the 2.3 in the MKC was actually rated at 295hp not 275 like the Ranger or Bronco.

Not going to happen ...at least not with this this iteration BS.

I can see this happening with a 24 or later redesign, but not with the BS we know of now.

Being a 2.0 owner on my BL I have to say 250 HP is about peak for a fwd based vehicle. any more than that and you’ll have incredible torque/under-steer conditions without some clever tuning or update to the awd.

coming from an s60 polestar I have to say the usable power in the BL is nothing to turn your nose up at.

Off topic but imagine a 5.0 with the 10r80 AWD in the Bronco sport. That would be off the wall.

There is a car (current model) that has both the 2.0 and the 2.3 engines for comparison.

Lincoln Corsair, a fancy Escape
2.0-liter four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque
2.3-liter four-cylinder with 295 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque

I think Lincoln is ditching the 2.3 for next model year for the Corsair.

The 2.0 and 2.3 are identical engines externally and same bore size. The 2.3 has a longer stroke crank to make it a bigger engine. A lot of Focus ST ppl put the 2.3 crank in their 2.0s to make them 2.3s.

Would be cool but a 5.0 would end up in the full size Bronco way before a sport.

If the full size offered the 5.0 id be ordering one of those. I dont think Ford realizes how many more Broncos they could sell if a V8 option was available.

Actually they cut the 2.3 litre Ford 2023 models.
