Not necessarily, but shrinkage is definitely an issue.
I'm dreading the next couple of days here in Gainesville; lows in the 20's.

First decent snow of 2024 today. New Blizzaks on our 2021 BS BB...he's been really good on unplowed roads with minimal snow. Have every faith he'll be a trooper in heavy snow. Started right up in minus windchills the past few days. No complaints.

Retired in NC from upstate NY 20 years ago.. Be glad to give you a tour of the area but be careful, it could be irresistible.
I've heard it's quite lovely. Lisa and I would love to do some hiking out there.

Late to the party!

First pic is the first good snowfall in Vermont, early Dec.

Second pic is the mid-January snowfall

First video is driving near Manchester, Vermont, on the evening of 16 January. Bronco Sport (and I) delivering an older lady, who lost confidence in her Cadillac XT6, to her home.

Second Video - After the first snowfall in Devember, put it into Sand Mode, disabling traction control, and got the back end to break free. Doesn't look it, but that's a snowy donut.

This thread brings up a question I had. We here in North Georgia just had a snow/sleet/freezing rain event on Friday. Here it Georgia it's a big deal because 1) we don't have as much snow clearing equipment as they do up north, 2) we usually end up with more ice than snow, and 3) people in the south have NO idea how to drive in rain, let alone in snow/ice (I don't include myself in this....I am originally from Syracuse, NY). All that being said, my question is this: when driving in snow/ice/frozen slush is it best practice to just drive in Normal, or use the GOAT modes. If GOAT modes, which one? Slippery or Sand? I didn't have anywhere to be, so just stayed home, but I was wondering for the next time. Thanks!

I tend to stay in Normal to let the computer figure out what it needs to do. If I feel stuck or struggling in snow then I switch to Slippery and that will typically pull me out. Just had to do this the other day as I was whipping around in 15+in of snow.
