I have no knowledge of how this cable works but I'll give my 2 cents. Start your BS (maybe even put it in neutral, chock your wheels), will that give some slack to that cable?
I was all over the board when the Bronco was announced. Picked A51, come time to order a 2021 I chose Cyber Orange. Got pushed to 2022 and re-ordered in Eruption Green. I don't expect to see it until 2023 so I'll probably need to re-order. We'll see what colors are offered.
I needed a...
I honestly didn't know the BS had an oil separator, until it came up in a recall notice. This was after I installed the JLT. It was my assumption that the separator drained back into the pan which makes sense. I'll continue to run with the JLT, I don't think it'll hurt anything, as long as I...
I did this, JLT 3.0... Actually, Ford already has an oil separator on the 1.5L. In the second pic, coming off the left side of the JLT can, follow that hose to where it connects (2 green tabs), that container is Ford's oil separator. So we're getting double protection right, ;).
Ford's oil...
Not BFG KO2's but... Link to thread here, post #10, best pics I have. Falken Wildpeak AT3W 245/65/17, all stock, no lift, no spacers, no mods, no rubbing, lock to lock.
Never been off road so I can't speak to articulation...
Yes quite a few out here have went to 245's/65/17. I did a little research and found that this size did not cause any rubbing, even turning at full lock, at all. I do not have a lift, all stock suspension.
Though, I have not taken if 'off-road', so I can't speak to rubbing during...
I wondered this also, having 2 separators in line. I can only guess at how the Ford separator works, catching oil/condensation, and re-routing it back to the oil pan? The add on separator (JLT in my case) catches it and I dump it out.
I do not know of the construction of the Ford separator...
Yea I was thinking, I can't see the bottom or the halves connection points. Don't think I'll remove it to find out at this point. No visible oil leak so I best leave it.
I thought the 1.5L was direct injection only.
Regarding the add-on catch can, mine is collecting fluid, thus that much less getting to the valves, even though the port injection is cleaning them.... Thinking about this a bit more, my catch can is catching the fluid before it gets to fords oil...
I believe it's on the right side (from drivers seat point of view). So seems it's the one he talks about at 2:33. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
I added a catch can, so am I getting double the "protection". My can is about half full every 1,000 miles. I change oil about every 3500 miles.
I thought the larger tires were a mpg issue too, but others with larger tires were still getting good mpg. And mine is starting to go up.
I have noticed though if I'm going into a headwind, that will really knock down mpg. I'm sure once I put on a roof top tent I can forget about mpg.
I went with the AVS because of the low profile. I didn't quite get it centered, off by a couple millimeters. Stuck on there pretty good, it's not coming off. Wonder what will happen to the paint if I ever pull it off.
Here in MN during warmer winter days I go to the self serve car wash to...
I've been keeping an eye on my mpg since I got my Big Bend last Sept. I put 245/65/17 tires on the first day. I'm in MN, dang cold in the winter. I run 89-93 octane.
During those warmer months I was getting about 27-28 manually calculated. I could never get the dash display into the 30's...
