I installed the JLT on my Big Bend at about 3k miles. I have 10,650 now. The can has filled 3-4 times. Keeps the oil and vapors off the valves in these direct injected engines.
Someone else with more knowledge and a better explanation can chime in.
I purchased the Powertrain Warranty when I picked up the Big Bend. Now considering the ESP warranty, Granger is offering it for $50 over cost. I have 10,200 miles on my 2021.
I'll throw in my 2-cents on ceramic spray if you don't mind. I used Maguires Hybrid Ceramic Wax spray last Sept (I'm in MN). Throughout the winter on warmer days I would go to a self-serve wand car wash, rinse mode only (I don't want their soaps and waxes), just to wash off the snow/ice/salt...
2011 Mitsubishi Lancer. Waiting for my big Bronco. Gave my Lancer to my dad, which left me with nothing. I bought a Bronco Sport Big Bend. Still waiting for my big Bronco. Hope to keep both.
Reserved a big Bronco Jul 2020. Ordered big Bronco Mar 2021, who knows when that will arrive. Aug 2021, planned on giving my my dad my 2011 MItsu Lancer 250k miles. So I went car shopping to find something to replace it, at Granger. Inquired about the Maverick truck, probably wouldn't arrive...
Yours a '21 or '22? If '22 I wonder if it's because some features are missing (ie fog lights...). I suppose as the market get's flooded with them, they're easier to get. Sorry, unfortunate for those still waiting on ordered ones.
Checked with Carvana just for grins on my '21 Big Bend, no packages, 8600 miles, great shape, no modifications (just AT tires). $31,407, pretty much right at MSRP (back in Sept).
Back in Sept when I checked the offer was $37k.
Let us know if they found what caused the turbo bearing to fail.
That is my concern being in cold MN, starting up in the morning, driving I try to keep the rpms below 3k until the engine warms up. Then let it idle for about 30 seconds before shutting off.
Are you referring to my BS having Falken AT3W's 245? Good point, I imagine it actually helped me get through the deeper snow, with the tread an all. Hard to say how the stock Continentals would have fared. I've mentioned my change in tires so often out here I forgot to mention it on this ride.
Those getting over 28mpg, still stock tires or did you change to AT's? I replaced the stock continentals on my BB 1.5L to 245 AT's at the dealer before picking it up. In the summer months I struggled to get 28mpg. Winter I'm around 25mpg. Pretty much in Normal mode (no different in Eco)...
