I have a 2025 model and i was wondering whst people are using for oil filters? I have been using the Fram ones but since they have been going out of business i cannot get them anymore. I tried looking at canadian tire agian for something that would work and the one on there website that says it will fit doesnt fit at all, the hole is to big. Same trouble i had with the engine air filter, the website says it will fit but it doesnt actually fit.

whats wrong with fomoco filters? i would never use fram on anything.
Never had any issues with fram on any of my cars. I just dont want to pay out the ass for a filter from the dealer when i can get the same thing for half the price at another part store.

I always rely on Project Farm for reviews of things like filters. I have a 2025 2.0L Badlands and was just starting to look online for filters. Purolator wins hands down for air filters it seems but I am having real trouble finding it online. The only aftermarket I can find is the Napa and don't know how that filter tetsts against others. I have not checked lately on oil filter testing, always used FoMoCo on my F-250 every 7k miles just to keep clear resale records. Since this is a Sasquatch model has anyone changed oil on it yet? Is it a super pain with skid plates?

Check Amazon that's where I get my mine, and yes those skid plates are heavy.

One reason I'm perfectly content to let the dealer handle it. If I had a pit or a Bendpak I might see it differently, but at 70 with neck, back, hip, and knee disabilities, my wrenching days are for the most part over.

Per the information I can find, Fram is not going out of business. Their parent company is in trouble and Fram oil filters has been sold to another company. Long story but it indicates that Fram is still in business.

The previous owner used a Pronto PO241 filter, which has replacements from other manufacturers listed on it

A Motorcraft oil filter is not that expensive. Just use the original parts.
NAPA gold filters are only about $13.

The old WIX based Gold filters provided between 93-98% filtration… OEM Motorcraft filters, by comparison, provide about 80-85% filtration. (Numbers are just from memory - we had a filter rep come and provide us all the data)

The new Gold filters are between 96-99% filtration and are the same price.

So, by that… why go with Motorcraft?
