There are two bolts from the factory in that cubby. This mounts to those two, and is more than adequate for a cell phone holder. If you want to mount heavier items, it comes with additional screws to mount the other base mounting points with.
I also skipped the additional screws and it’s more than solid enough for my GMRS mic. The whole platform mounted with the stock bolt holes is definitely more solid than a single ball screwed into a stock anchor. The stock bolts alone are disappointingly wobbly on their own.
Can you get a picture of the back of the mic and the holder attachment? Here you go. My previous car had a different style of mount—one designed to hold both a handheld belt clip and a traditional mic back. It was a little too loose with the mic for me. This one from Bulletpoint is just about perfect with a nice balance of holding it snug but not difficult to get in and out.
Who makes those in channel deflectors? Did you notice any difference in wind noise after installing?So in the first 2 weeks, 1.5"RC lift, Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails and in channel wind/rain deflectors. More to come but it's too cold to play outside.
