That actually solves the whole loss of connectivity issue, and lets you keep something else on the primary screen on a more permanent basis while also allowing stowing of the GPS in your local area where maps & directions are generally unneeded.
Is that for just regular highway driving or if you happen to go off-road on a trail. The couple of times I did that, I lost service slightly and was worried I'd end up on private property or not be able to find my way out before sundown.Added the Tackform mount for a secondary GPS. I don’t like the built in Ford maps and I don’t want to be dependent on the phone for mapping. Very easy install! Might try some different arms and orientations after using it beyond the driveway.
Both! In the past I have installed topo maps on the Garmin in addition to the street maps.
