Ok, I just tested in my badlands. Make sure the rear vent is open. Then make sure the air is on the head of the figure not the lower. With the fan speed on 3 I could feel it the back no problem. Higher speed even more.

I will look for those under seat vents in the morning (It's about - 12 C outside now) !

Maybe those vents require a higher fan speed or higher temp to supply enough volume of heat ?

Many thanks from the frozen north !
Your sport doesn't have these vents under the front seats?
Ford Bronco Sport Help ! How to get heat to rear seat area in 2025 BSBB ?? 20260120_205031
Hi Everyone, thanks to all of your suggestions, I think I solved the mystery of the missing heat in the rear seat area !

Yes, my 2025 BB does have those vents under the front seats (see picture from Quashish above). I was able to get heated air to come out of those vents by pressing a symbol on the centre touchscreen while the fan (and the heat) were on. The symbol represents a side view of the BS with an arrow indicating air flow from the front to the rear. I can find no reference to this symbol in the list of symbols in the Ford Manual (pages 17 - 21).

When this symbol on the touchscreen is pressed it sounds like the fan speed is increased slightly ?

I am still not convinced that these 2 small under seat vents can supply enough heat to the rear seat area in extremely cold conditions !

Again, thanks to all for their helpful and friendly advice !

Cheers

Sorry, I'm having trouble transferring photos from my phone right now.

For those members with a 2025 BSBB, this symbol is located right beside the sliding temperature scale on the centre touch screen.

As it turns out, a 2nd symbol located near the centre of the touch screen panel also controls the flow of heated and cooled air inside the vehicle.

Hey Ford engineers, VERY CONFUSING and NOT WELL EXPLAINED in that 500+ page manual that you required me to purchase !!

Cheers

Seems pretty straightforward? Maybe I’m missing something here, but the HVAC controls being capacitive buttons are pretty straightforward… and the display shows exactly where the air flow is going.

I apologize, but I’m still a bit confused.

My 2025 Outer Banks had those too and my passengers can feel the heat coming out!
what setting are you using to get heat out of them, I use the "auto" all the time and I never get anything out of thoes. I did find heat vents burries way under the front seats the other day and thoes actualy had a little heat coming out when I was in the auto setting.

So, I just messed with this…

In order for the air to reach the back, the upper vents need to be running.

Which, makes sense. Defroster is designed for the windshield, lower vents are for the front floors…

But the vents allow air to go through the center console and out the rear.

Mystery solved.

which is weird because on auto it is pushing air out of all three, floor, dash and defrost up front, bit I only feel it on the floor vents in the back.

It’s not weird. It makes perfect sense.

You’re taking a system that lets say, can move 900cubic inches of air per minute (number pulled out of thin air, just using for reference), and now dividing that three ways. And then the airflow going to the back, has an extra 2 feet of plumbing it needs to travel through, so that output is further reduced.

So now, you’ve got 300cubic inches or airflow going to the upper vents (which includes the rear vents), and then traveling even further to make it to the back. I’d guess you’re only feeling 10-15% of that 900cubic inches of airflow out the back, which is next to nothing.

You’re cutting the output 3x leaving it in auto, or set on all three vent settings. The blower motor can only output a certain amount of air, it doesn’t just make more airflow by turning them all on.

If you want heat to make it to the rear, try using the defroster and upper vents, or just the upper vents, instead of auto.

Have you figured this out yet? This is not that complicated.

no I tested it yesterday, in auto there is 0 coming out of that, infact I found out only the two outside vents on the dash have airflow in auto. so they obviously have the inside and outside independent so they can get more airflow to the defrost and floor and just maintain the outside to blow on the people directly. if I put it on manual and activate the defrost, vents and floor then it blows out the rear center vents very good, which is still splitting it three ways, so I suspect that iut has somthing to do with the center dash vents being off in auto. for what its worth the under seat vents blast out pretty good in auto so there is heat getting back there.

another issue is if I just use the vents out here you wouldnt be able to see out the windows in a couple minuits and your feet would start to freeze
