First, I should ask how much customization should I have access to in my 2025 Bronco Sport Badlands with the technology package? I am unable to find this menu. The vehicle is not moving when I'm trying to configure the gauges.

Ford Bronco Sport Need Help Customizing the Display Owners Manual Display Options

This is what I see when I select the menu button from the right side of the steering wheel. If I use the back button, I have access to trip 1 and trip 2.

After selecting settings, I see this screen. When I select "configure gauges", nothing happens. The display blinks but doesn't change the screen. The vehicle maintenance menu only lets me see oil life and tire pressure. The speedometer menu item toggles between mph and kph.

I've tried it running and parked and with the vehicle on, but not running.

TBH, there's not a lot that can be changed.

From the manual:

Configuring Gauges
  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Configure Gauges.
  3. Select to swap or change the additional gauges shown in the instrument cluster.
  4. Select to swap or change left-hand side and right-hand side gauges.
Note: The menu and some additional gauges can be accessed only when the vehicle is in Off-road or performance drive modes. See G.O.A.T. Mode Control (page 223). The number of additional gauges is limited to two.

Yeah, well selecting "configure gauges" does nothing.

There are a few things that you can do with FORSCAN. I was able to add all the climate controls to the screen so you either use the touch screen or all the buttons.

As mentioned in the owners manual to configure gauges you need to have selected the applicable GOAT Modes
So you can only configure gauges when off road?

Okay, I think I have it now. I have to wonder what kind of thinking led to the programming in the Bronco Sport. My 2017 F150 gives me access to many more vehicle parameters than this 8-year newer Ford product. And why limit the use of additional gauges to GOAT modes? What is the purpose in that?

The thinking likely goes something like this, in the normal modes the info provided by those gauges isn’t that useful and could be distracting to some. Keeping things simple means the driver can focus their attention on the road

when off-roading, the vehicle often is subject to more intense conditions thus the info would be more valuable

You may not agree but Ford is the designer and has final say

See above - this is correct. You can only configure the gauges when in "Off-road" or "Performance" drive modes.

Yeah I definitely do not agree. I can turn off the gauges I don't need. Having the battery voltage would be useful in any mode. And having the transmission temp too, especially in slippery mode (it might be there, I'm not sure if I remember seeing it or not).

I need to get a cheap smartphone or tablet so I can link it to my OBD II reader and see if it can display all the information. I can't use it now because my phone is linked to my car and it can't do two at once.

Plan on getting 2025 Bronco Sport
So, on the menu I picked, My View, and it uses to give you options as to what you want to see, including the calm mode, looks like with the last update, that is no longer the case as when I choose the My View, I dont get any options and it goes right back to the regular View ☹ oh and I have a 2025 Outer Banks.

Something definitely doesn't sound right. I still occasionally get the random "reset to default" and have to go back in and change them all back to my preferences.
