Thanks Elvis, I wouldn’t want that on the door either, unless there’s no choice.

I think that was for a wired keypad, which apparently can be done with FORScan. Here is one that enabled the keypad using FORScan, more on this forum also

I have read some people put it on the inside of the fuel filler door.I wouldn’t want that on the door either, unless there’s no choice.
yup we use them all the time when tubing rivers or what ever. we will drop one vehicle off at the pull out point and lock the keys and any valuables in the car, drive the other vehicle to the drop off point and do the same then tube down the river , use the key pad to get in the car and take everyone to get the other car. the Keypads are the best invention.People calling the keypad redundant, I disagree. I know of people who put the keys in the vehicle and then lock/unlock with the keypad (not something I'd recommend personally, but if the keys are out of sight, not obvious to a thief). I also will sometimes go out to my vehicle without grabbing my keys or wearing pants/pajamas without pockets and punch in the code to get something from/put something in my vehicle.
Very disappointed that Ford removed the Securicode keypad from future years of the BS... the aftermarket is $, has a fixed life battery that eventually dies, and does not have the clean integrated look.
Distance wise, it works from the fuel door or area on the underside of the rear camera. How do these keypads work? Is it wired or does it operate the same as a fob, talking to the car by radio waves or however it communicates.
The fob has about a 3 foot range-putting the keypad on the rear hatch may not work. Best try it out before you mount it.
Will it fit on a roof rail?
Out of sight would be best so I like your original ideas. I don’t think you would get much in the way of gasoline fumes in the filler door, nor would they damage the keypad. As to mounting on the roof rails, I’m thinking mounting on the side of the vertical rail mounts, with the keypad facing you, mounted horizontally on one of the larger flat sides. It wouldn’t be as noticeable as on the door, and not facing up toward sun and rain.Distance wise, it works from the fuel door or area on the underside of the rear camera.
It really wouldn't fit right on the roof rail since I don't think there's enough flat surface. But it could go flat under the rail, like so. Though I am sure it's rated for outdoor use. I am sure they didn't intend for it to be laying flat, and it could have problems due to weather down the road.

^^This^^All 2025’s have Ford Intelligent Access (keyless entry), so a keypad is redundant. With the fob in your pocket or purse you just touch the inside of either front door handle and it unlocks. Lock by touching the top of either door handle. The tailgate and rear window unlock by just pressing the button.
My 2025 has no stick-on keypad...am I'm thankful.Ford ditching the integrated securicode system was a horrible idea!!! That new bulky stick-on keypad is awful.
You cannot. It's sealed for weatherproofing. You need to buy a new one for like $200 including mandatory dealer activation. How do you change the battery in the wireless stick on keypad? Is there a CR3032 lithium coin battery in it?
