I haven’t heard Discount Tore since my days in Colorado. Moved to NorCal and had to get used to saying “America’s Tires” instead.
Anyway, I’ve been going to you guys for 20 years. Last week even to upgrade my tires after installing my lift. Always great service

Glad to see you as a sponsor. I love Our local Tire Discount for their kindness and knowledge.

My question is, my 2022 outer banks bronco sport came with a full sized spare. When I rotate my tires, do I include it on the rotation? If not, is there anything I should be doing for this spare on a regular basis?

Thank you for the kind words as well the continued support, @Tigger !

With a matching full size spare (size, brand, model & part number) as well as matching wheels (great call out MaxVelocity), it's a good idea to put all 5 tires into rotation.

When you include all 5 tires in rotation, the wear will be evenly distributed, so all 5 tires should maintain equivalent tread depths. In most instances, this helps with the life of the tires and it wears out the spare tire before it ages out. I'll add that OEM vehicle manufacturers do not make tire mixing guidelines readily available to support for AWD/4WD applications. To that end, even wear across all 5 tires prevents damage to the driveline by ensuring a brand new spare isn't put into service with partially-worn tires.

Your spare will not be on a matching wheel so rotation is out of the question unless you make modifications. Check the air pressure in the spare and let it ride!

Are there any deals on wheel/tire combos for my Outerbanks? Should I stay with 18s or go with 17's? I would like to go with a more aggressive look and black wheels. I've heard good things about the Falkens and Goodrich tires.

As many have previously written, Discount Tire's service is the best I've ever had. It just so happens, I've ordered a set of BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 245/65/17 that are replacing my stock 225's tomorrow March 8th. So looking forward to seeing how the BS looks!

Nice! I also shop exclusively at discount tire. Last 3 sets came from you. Glad you're onboard.

Just to add to the whole putting 5 tires into rotation thing, Ford is responsible for making that not possible. Even IF you got the full-sized spare with your bronco, if you got a Badlands like me and upgraded to the wildpeaks, your full-sized is NOT the same size as your upgraded tires. But then on rotation, the spare doesn't come with a matching wheel, (in this case the gray painted "steelies") it's your standard black painted donut on a "full-sized" tire. Wildpeaks are 235s while that spare is 225. I'm sure you don't recommend rotation in that case.

Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business!

There are no tire and wheel combination discounts at this time, however we do have a low price promise on all the tires and wheels we offer - we will not be undersold! Should a competitor have a cheaper advertised out the door price, please let us know.

Regarding 17-inch versus 18-inch, there will be trade-offs so the right sizing will depend on the performance attributes you prefer most. For a high level example, If off-road performance is top on the priority list, it may be right to move towards a 17-inch combo as 17-inch will offer more sidewall height when compared to an 18-inch combo of equal size. If handling is high on the priority list, it may make sense to stick with the 18-inch combo as shorter sidewalls tend to quicken steering response and cornering capabilities.

If we can help dial in a package that's right for your needs, please let us know!

Love discount tire!!
