I did not order but there were some on the lot. I remembered my Bronco II. I’m old so I bought one. Effing fun mate!
We've been waiting for a modern day Bronco II. We have an 88 BII and I have often thought that if I could buy a brand new one that I'd do it in a second. We wanted an around town vehicle, something quick, and nimble that you can park anywhere. It had to be able to handle ice and snow.

The Escape was getting close and then Ford turned it into a jelly bean.

Saw the dealer Mannequin BS and stopped in for look and went back for a test drive.

I was super happy with the way it drove, the 2.0l had enough power for the Mrs and I wanted a little bit of truck feel. It had to have at a minimum a limited slip rear diff and skids would be plus. The ride is just right and looking out over the hood nailed that overall feel we were looking for. So we ordered a BL+BL and waited................

The plan is to have owned one of every generation.
I've had a 74 (or 76, been a long time ago) a 96 Bronco, and an 86 and 88 BII. We have a 2dr Bronco on order. It's a bucket list thing.

Patience. What a concept. I thought I could muster the patience of Job when I ordered a 2022 Maverick pickup. Now, well before I heard Ford was building the Maverick, I had been desiring a Bronco Sport but back in 2020 we were already being told of back logs and delivery delays of months upon months due to the chip shortages. Forward to June 2021 when I first heard about the Maverick and decided to order one. Ok, I had a 1971 Maverick that was a favorite of mine so the PU seemed like a reboot but 2 months in the dealer called and told me due to the add-ons I selected my build date might not happen for a year. Patience. I came face to face with mine and realized I didn't have any. I started reading about Bronco Sports on the Ford website and built one just like the Maverick and found the pricing to be very close in the Big Bend model so I watched dealer orders. After the New Year holiday I was back on the Ford website and found my dealer had already ordered a BSBB just like I wanted and it was on the way to their lot. I called the salesman who'd put in my Maverick order and told him I wanted that Bronco! We agreed to a deal, they will get the maverick and on 31Jan. I drove home in my BS Big Bend! It has exceeded all my expectations. Who needs patience? That is for others to mull over. I envy those of you who have it. Good luck with your orders, I wish nothing but the best for you all. I'm actually glad I didn't have patience this time.

Have a focus ST. It’s proving to be not the greatest for my lifestyle often driving in deep snow to ski hills or muddy bumpy trails to mountain bike.

needed something to carry my bike and skis but wasn’t boring. Thought about a ranger, Tacoma or Maverick but decided I didn’t want a current generation pickup, and the maverick was too small for skis. Plus i wanted more enclosed cargo space.

checked out the big bronco. 2 door wasn’t practical for passengers, and the 4 door was a bit bigger than I needed. Plus, to get heated seats and steering in a big bronco costs a lot more than a sport badlands with them.

all the other compact SUVs and crossovers lacked power. Coming from my ST I wanted something with a little pep and over 200 Hp.

I wanted a more modern utilitarian family vehicle to take to the beach in the summer and not care about the sand and mountains in the winter. I drive a 2011 Honda CR-V and my wife drives a Subaru Forester, so we use her car for all the winter trips and mine for most of the beach trips because her car is way nicer and I don't care about getting mine a little dirtier. The BS will allow us to have two cars capable of heading to the mountains in winter as well as a great beach vehicle that will be easy to clean out with the rubberized floor in the BL.

For me this is probably a 2 part question. Why a Bronco Sport? And Why order?

1. I’m a Ford guy. The BS will follow along behind, in order, a 2007 F-150, a 1989 Mustang GT, a 1993 Explorer, and the 2020 explorer. I’ve just always really liked their vehicles, the mustang & bronco are so iconic. My dealer is pretty good rep for Ford as well, and conveniently I can walk home quicker than I can drive home after dropping a vehicle off for service.

2. They do great interiors, & that’s what’s most important to me in a vehicle. They just seem a cut above anything else in their price class & competitors when it comes to a nice inside. Technology isn’t lacking either. Just enough space for me & the dog.

3. It’s a bronco. I’ve loved about every generation they’ve ever put out and the BS seems to hold that spirit high. It’s got the right vintage vibe, even if it’s just down to the headlights. I’d love to have a stable full, but well money permits that I can have 1 car & that has to do me for everything. Prices for most years are getting out of hand, but maybe a nice BII might come my way some day.

4. The Bronco Sport, as opposed to the full-size really does fit my needs for a compact around town car with the ability to explore farther out. That’s what I’ve really wanted to make city driving easy now for a decade, I’ve just never been able to do it. I almost had a previous gen escape, but that fell through. This time I can & will. For once in the last decade I’m buying what I want & what meets my needs.

5. Now why order? I drove an OB when the lot finally got one in, which proved the BS is not too small & the 3 cyl is not too underpowered. But ultimately I still wanted the BL for the front camera, 2.0, rubber floors, and optional steelies (hey they channel the vintage vibe too). Very few BL on the lots here, I did find one that might’ve been good at a different dealer though so didn’t pursue it. I keep my vehicles, current one notwithstanding, for a decade or more so I’m happy to wait & get exactly what I want.

Ford just fixed my 2015 Transit Connect XLT wagon, shifting linkage doo-hickey broke. The van was my work vehicle, only had 130k on the clock. The transmission was not 100% and a rebuild was very expensive.
I pulled out of the service building and there sat what looked like a black Land Rover,
one of the $50 or $60,000 models.
I stopped did a walk around,
Then a test drive. That did it !
Next a bunch of paper work and it was mine.
The very first one in the county,
Shadow black base model.
16,000 miles and 14 months later it’s still a great little SUV to me.

Same here just about. Though I was in the market for a much more fuel efficient and modern vehicle that was smaller to fit in my small garage where my 2014 F150 FX4 doesn't fit. It's great to have, I just don't personally do alot of "truck" stuff to warrant it for my daily driver to and from work everyday. Not to mention my 9-10 mpg is just nuts for city driving.

I had a Jeep Patriot before my F150. Loved the size of the vehicle, wasn't too small, or too big. But hated that it barely had 115 HP. Felt like it was going to fall apart at highway speeds with steering wheel vibrations, and if I ever needed to pass someone on a stripped line 2 lane road, I had to account for 4 car lengths just to get up to speed as the accelleration was horrible. I swore to myself I would never get a 4 Cylinder again.

However after driving the turbo charged 3 cylinder base model on my dealers lot I was seriously impressed with the interior, and power the small little engine provided and the look was way more masculine then the similar Ford Escape.

I immediately went to look into ordering the BL edition 2.0 Turbo Ecoboost with full tech package to get myself up to modern standards as my Patriot didn't have any touch screen at all, and my F150 has the clunky old Sync 2 System which is something to be desired.
Very similiar road here. I've been in F150's for at least 20+ years and loved every one of them. However I got tired of a p/u as a daily driver so in 2019 I bought a new Jeep Wrangler. Nice vehicle but a bit limited for some of my daily needs. Sold that and bought a new 2020 Ranger. Great truck, loved the engine! But I was now back to owning 2 p/u's. I have an F350 DRW I use for our truck camper. When I brought my wife's car in for service they had a beautiful full size Bronco big Bend in the showroom, nicely equipped for $45k. Not a bad deal I thought. But then I looked at the tires and the overall size and didn't pull the trigger. At 67 years old I've been downsizing "stuff" and I really couldn't justify the size. Sales guy offered the BS BB for a test drive. I scoffed at the 1.5L but he said, it doesn't cost anything, go thrash it! I took the brown BB home to show my wife and she liked it but wasn't thrilled with the brown. We went to the dealer and she saw the Iconinc Silver OB and loved it. turns out one of the sales guys (ex) girlfriend ordered it, they broke up before it came in and she stiffed. It was delivered the day before and I scooped it up. Very happy with it, and truth be told, the little 1.5 is more than adequate for every day endeavors.

Impulse buy. Wasn't on my radar or plans at all.
Same here. On a whim went and test drove one. That night I checked to see how much Carvana would give me for my 2 year old car. Gave me what I paid so I made the deal. Picked up the Bronco Sport for A-plan price 2 days later.

Yeah, used car / trade in prices are crazy. I basically drove my 2020 ranger for no $. Received about $2k less than my out the door purchase!

Pretty exciting decision for me. I traded in a 2019 Acura RDX with only 25,000 miles on it. My badlands sport is the first new vehicle that has inspired me to drive since I purchased a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser. I also own a 2019 Honda CR-V and people always asked why I bought two of the same vehicles. They were both white. I realized that 90% of all SUV’s looked about the same. When the Bronco Sport came out I knew this was it and placed an order. The nearly seven month wait was worth it. At five months and four thousand miles we are happier than ever with the purchase. My wife doesn’t even like to drive the Honda anymore.

Why? Had an '08 CR-V and really liked it (loved my '10 Pilot - best vehicle I ever owned). Eventually just wore out.

I still own two Hondas, but am having problems with one right now with the transmission that I'm having a difficult time with the company repairing (not going into specifics).

Had a '12 Forester with the lovely oil consumption problems that the company would not fix. I really like the Subaru product and owned several, but the Forester just ticked me off (plus them "buddying-up" with Toyota!). Go 800-1000 miles on the highway and it needed 2-3 qts of oil - and synth to boot!

Traded the Forester for the BS BL. Equal (even better) gas mileage, solid, GREAT-LOOKING (not the same looking SUV from company to company, inside and out), more "stuff" inside, more versatile, and no freakin' oil consumption problems! It's even BETTER than the Big Bronco (IMO)!

[Edit: Also, NO CVT]

My signature says the rest....

Reserved a big Bronco Jul 2020. Ordered big Bronco Mar 2021, who knows when that will arrive. Aug 2021, planned on giving my my dad my 2011 MItsu Lancer 250k miles. So I went car shopping to find something to replace it, at Granger. Inquired about the Maverick truck, probably wouldn't arrive until Dec 2021. They had a BS BB in route, I inquired, it wasn't spoken for, so I bought it, sight unseen. Picked it up Sep 2021. Should hold me over until my big Bronco arrives.

Ok, had 1st Gen Escape in (wait for it....) yellow! Really liked it, and wanted a smaller SUVish sorta vehicle but really wanted some level of off road capability, as I tend to wander off the beaten path for fishing and hiking. The list of "good utility" smaller SUVs is rather small - and this came along at the right time.
