Actually they’re going to bring back the steering wheel but since they’re is no cover, just also take away the engine as it’s useless without the cover.

Nope but I'm realistic. It's a piece of foam literally designed to protect a pedestrian should you hit them with the hood open. Some are thankful they have a bronco sport to drive. Raise heck with the dealer, be mad about a $100 part on a $30K vehicle. Life is too short for a trivial part that's nothing but window dressing. I'm truly sorry you are this upset (more than Ford). I appreciate the vehicle I bought. Not a chance I sign on the line being as mad about it as some of you appear to be. I'm sure a few folks here would take it off your hands in a heartbeat as their sport sits in Mexico waiting on a processor chip. Perspective.

I still say there's an opportunity here for an aftermarket item. Good luck on that item being less than $75 though.

I can't wait to drive my new BS, as soon as the missing steering wheel arrives. I had to buy it, but it is on indefinate backorder. I ordered it online because the dealer only wanted $3259.27 for it! Perhaps it is only cosmetic???

I think of we set up a go fund me page for people without engine covers to get engine covers,

sponsored by the people of the Bronco Sport forum that are really impressed at how this thread about engine covers remains alive, even while understanding the small frustration of not getting engine covers, we all really want you to get your engine covers therefore I’d donate ten bucks.

Stop complaining, why? When I ordered my BS they all had them, so I paid for it, didn't get it. Ford called my dealer and asked them to take care of this. Their solution for taking care was to try to charge me rediculously high prices for the parts. For instance, P/N DT1Z6A957A stud, dealer price $104.40 !!! MSRP is only $10.98, listed on the net for $7.71 or less. When I questioned their prices, they quit talking to me. I ended up ordering the parts online, and now I find out that P/N DT1Z6A957A is no longer available anywhere. Good grief, why shouldn't we be upset for not getting something we paid for?

Perhaps file a claim in small claims court, it is a small claim after all - and that might force the dealer’s hand to fix this. It seems crazy that a dealer would let a $10 part (or $100 part) sour a source of potential maintenance and future car purchase revenue.

But Ford published a memo stating they stopped putting the covers on. So according to Ford the covers arent supposed to be there after a certain build date. So if yours is after that date pop hood and look at snakes nest of hoses wires piled on top of each other?

Maybe Ford could offer cover as an extra cost accessory in a kit with mounting hardware ect? Go online enter credit card get cover delivered to your front door. Couple minutes to install done!!
