I dug through OASIS, but was not able to find any concrete info on this. From what I gather, Ford had supply chain issues with the GPF and many vehicles that were supposed to have it were built without it; even if they were designated for CARB states.

I would need the VIN of a vehicle that has one so I can dig through the build codes. I found this random BS for sale in California and ran it through PTS and found this that says "less fuel filter" which I assume is referring to the GPF. It would be interesting to compare this to one that DOES have it and see if it differs.

However, without PTS access, the regular person would not have a way to check if it has it or not.

Thank you for taking a look at this. I suspected it wasn’t quite cut and dried. The early supply chain theory sounds plausible. I’ll DM you my VIN so you can take a look at one that is known to have a GPF.

Got your message. Your car shows the same build code there:

So, either it has to be somewhere else. Whatever that refers to, it is not the GPF.

I looked through every single feature code in your vehicle and I found this that could be relevant:

The BS in California shows this, as well. I guess we would need the VIN of a 2025 that we know does NOT have it to compare further.

In the meantime, I know someone I can ask that may have some insight on this. I will see what I can find out.

Edit: I asked a guy I know who is a veteran Ford tech, and he doesn't know how to tell if that have the GPF or not other than crawling under it, either.

I think you can look at the cert label on the underside of the hood and tell. If someone with a GPF posts a pic of theirs, I can confirm.

After a little more detective work, I'm pretty sure I can determine if a vehicle has a GPF or not based on a picture of the VECI label.

I'd like to confirm the theory. If someone is willing to post a picture of their label, I'll give it a try. Ideally, it would be nice to get one with and one without a GPF.

Seems to work. According to the data, your second catalyst's 2nd brick is a GPF (1st brick is a three-way catalyst (TWC)).
