2025 Bronco Sport - Big Bend w Black Diamond Package
Hi everyone ! , new member from Northern Arizona. I am a member of the ranger5g forum but traded in my 2019 Ranger XLT last week for a 2022 BS, Big Bend trim.
My Ranger was a 2wd Supercrew with Continental street tires, but as long as the dirt roads were dry, I went places I probably shouldn't have but never got stuck. I had momentum and good ground clearance in my favor. Mud and snow I tried to avoid though.
I had close to 100k on the Ranger and didn't use the bed of the truck much, mainly to let my dog ride there after swimming till he dried out some.

The new Bronco Sport should be more off road capable than my truck, besides being AWD my Bronco came with the optional Falken Wildpeak AT tires (and Black Rhino wheels).
One thing my Big Bend lacks that the Ranger had was ground clearance.
I'll have to watch that with the Bronco Sport for sure.

I like how compact the vehicle is, but it doesn't feel cramped inside.
The Bronco Sport is about the same width as a Ranger, but it feels roomier inside, I guess because of the boxy roof ?
Mine is the 1.5L. Not as smooth and quiet as the 2.3L I had, but not wimpy feeling at all like I thought it would be. It helps that the BS is 900 some lbs. lighter than the 4 door pickup was.

The Bronco feels low to the ground after the Ranger, but I'd say the Bronco has more of a truck like feel when driving, although part of that could be the off road tires my BS came with.

I'm looking forward to reading and joining in on discussions, glad to have found the site.
Welcome from the west valley!

I came from a '21 Ranger Lariat (4 x 2), and can agree with most of your analysis. My wife's previous car was a 2022 Edge, and TBH, the interior of the Bronco Sport is easily as roomy as the Edge, especially in the front seat.

I've yet to get mine out and get it really dirty, but I'm making plans.

It will take me a little time to locate more pictures. I have to read through my father’s letters where he sometimes describes the area in the pictures. If you are ever at the brewery, say hello to Chris the owner for me.
Ok, I'll occasionally stop by the brewery with my Bronco and say hello.
I look forward to hearing from you again.
Have a nice day to the USA from the Czech Republic. George

New member from Denver. Traded in a 2015 BMW X1 with 110k on the odo for a new 2024 BS Big Bend in Cactus Grey. Loving it so far. Plenty of pep around town and it handled a Labor Day trip to the mountains nicely.

I just got back from a trip to Lake Mead to visit with friends. There are a lot of ups and downs between here and Lake Mead, and the Bronco did better than expected.
When going up the long grades I didn't try to maintain the 75 that I did in the flats and downhills, but had no problem staying at 65 and not having the Bronco downshift. Tach was at slightly over 2000 RPM.
Only if I pushed on the accelerator a bit more and tried to do 70 up the hills did it downshift, then the Tach read 2300 or so.

There was a guy in a newer Tacoma that must have had his cruise set close to what mine was.
He was slowly gaining on me in the flats, but as soon as we'd climb a grade he'd slip behind.
This happens over and over for many miles between Kingman and Flagstaff.
He probably had no idea that the Bronco Sport he couldn't catch only had a 3 cylinder engine.

I did some dirt too, and the Falken tires have some good grip.
They make a bit of noise at 20-30 MPH with the windows down, but doing 75 with the windows up they don't seem overly loud.

I used Eco mode for most of the trip. My mileage going out was 30.5, coming back was 29.5, but I went over 75 a bit more on the return trip.

Greetings all. Just got a 2025 Bronco Sport Big Bend with Black Diamond Off Road. So far ist a fun and gas milage is far better than my Explorer and much more fun to drive.
Looking for power spec on the USB-C ports in the accessory tray, Wondering if they are on all the time or only when the ignition is on?

In my 2022 Badlands, it is only on when the ignition is on. Do you have a phone or other USB powered device you can test it with?
