What Do You Carry Off-Road

I did a search, but didn't find anything. What do you carry in the way of emergency gear when you venture off road in your Bronco Sport? I carry an emergency trauma kit, a nylon tow rope and bottled water in my F150. Do you carry anything extra in the Bronco?

Trauma/IFAK with snakebite kit (Venom LOCC), snatch line with soft shackles, inflator (need to add a repair kit), fire extinguisher, tool roll, glass breaker/seatbelt cutter, folding saw, water, GMRS, and a 9mm equalizer.

Recovery boards are the only carry that is "extra" for off-roading. My current camping gear list is already a bit excessive.

I like smallish striker fired handguns and have a G26, G42, P365, P365X, P365-380 (wifey's), Bodyguard 2.0 (fantastic pistol) and a LCP Max. Never a 320.

Down to a Gen 1 G19 that Smyrna upgraded to a Gen 4 for free as part of a repair to a broken slide rail, the wife's M&P 9mm (duty weapon but personally bought), and a Rock Island 45/22 full size. Gave up the Ruger GP100 .357 a while back. Need to buy some land because the local ranges are getting stupid expensive, and the nearest long gun facility is 20 miles away, which sounds awfully whiny since I commuted 140 roundtrip miles daily to Pendleton for the All-Navy matches back in the day. M1A at 800 meters with iron sights FTW!

Glock 19, the holy grail of Glock. My 26 is a shortened 19. Add a sleeve and you have 15+1. The Glock store is coming out with a 26X. The grip of the 19 on a 26.

We are members of a local indoor range here. $300 a year but only Mon-Fri. Weekends are too busy anyway.

Only when out in the “boonies” like a shortened .410 along with the side arm de jour. The .410 is loaded with a nice little round . . . contains a few bb’s, a slug, and some shrapnel for good measure.

Boot camp, 1966, rifle qual. M-14 iron sights 200 to 500 yards. That's when the vision was 20-20.
