Hello: My name is Danny Phillips, and I bought my BS in June of 2024 it has a whopping 4000 miles on it. If anybody reads this, I was looking in my spare tire well and noticed that the recovery tool and lug wrench and jack handle was not there. I bought it new at Steve Coury Ford in Payson, AZ. It is an Outer Banks model if that makes any difference.

It’s stored under the spare tire on my Big Bend.

Edit: By recovery tool do you mean the eye bolt that screws into the bumper? It may be in the glove box. If you have the tow package it doesn’t come with the eye bolt.

No eye bolt or tow package. Just the jack and a small funnel. Thanks for the reply.

The lug wrench is part of the jack and is the jack handle — it’s sort of like a “tinker toy”. The manual (for you probably only on line) gives an idea of how to assemble it. Funnel is for putting gas in tank with a “jerry can”. You’ll probably have to purchase the eye bolt for vehicle recovery, they really don’t come with the BS. You can get from Ford or check on Amazon (think that’s where I got mine) or eBay.
Welcome aboard!

I did not see the jack handle in the spare well, just the jack. According the photos the jack handle is mounted 90 degrees from the jack screw. All I can see is the jack screw.

Last resort is back to selling dealer, make ‘em show you and/or replace missing parts.

I think you have to take it apart. Mine had some parts stored inside the jack.

Good for you for checking early. I didn't look into all that until I had a flat tire 200 miles from home in the rain.

The jack might be upside down; I'll check it tomorrow. Thanks
