2.0L is uncommon. We have to wait to see for the 2025 MPC both 1.5L & 2.0L (new engines for the BS, yes I know it exist on the Escape 2023+)Is the water pump issue just in the 1.5L engines?
Have only seen a couple reports of water pump failing on Bronco Sport 2LThanks Our BS Badlands is a 22 model and I haven't noticed an issue or leak.
we don’t know how common or uncommon issues show up, it’s simple math - for every 10 BS sales, 9 are 1.5 and 1 is 2.0…the difference is so startling that your odds of hearing about issues in the 2.0 are very slim…2.0L is uncommon. its probably a larger gap than that, I think out of the last 40 BS the two dealerships here have had I have seen one 2.0L. the 3 months I was looking at them probably 50 moved through the teo dealerships and not one was a 2.0we don’t know how common or uncommon issues show up, it’s simple math - for every 10 BS sales, 9 are 1.5 and 1 is 2.0…the difference is so startling that your odds of hearing about issues in the 2.0 are very slim…
Had mine replaced at 15k. Yesterday at dinner I looked at my sister in law's 24 and noticed she had little to no coolant in her tank and told her to take it to the shop ASAP. She has 20k miles on hers. They replaced mine at 66k miles. If they think a certain share of water pumps will last past warranty, then there won't be a recall.
I know how you feel lol. I got a 22 mustang 2yrs ago and have had it think 4 recalls on it? One being fuel lines which I've been waiting 3 months for...I love my vehicles but it's definitely becoming a hassle. This is the first Ford I have owned and most probably the last!
Sigh...Water pumps on the 1.5L are basically a disposable product
We've leased three Nissan's over the years and they've all been loaded generously and completely reliable. My problem? I walked on the Ford lot, turned the corner and saw that extremely sexy Cactus Gray BS 'Heritage Edition' with the white steelies- fell in love like I was looking at the hottest woman in a club and then when I married & got her home, I met the real woman.Hopefully, Nissan can stay in business. My wife and I have had numerous Nissans (Maximas, Muranos, a Z) and I have had VERY FEW recalls from Nissan!
No, my 23 BB, built January 23 had Water pump replaced at 3k, 13k now all still good.did the leaks just skip the 23 models ? I though they had that issue fixed?
