Any ideas on how to fix this or is this a known issue?

Not a known issue that I have seen or read about here.

I'd start by visually tracing the water tubes from the fluid tank to the nozzles for leak.

Here is my reply to a similar question from Feb. 21, 2024.
The post title was ā€œFront Camera Built-in Washerā€
————————
I just had my dealer replace the washer assembly, mere weeks before my factory warranty was to expire.

Q: Did it solve the leak?

Yes. But the Ford Service scratched my grill in 3 places and 2 paint chips at front fender. But no more ā€œFluid Low’ warnings. I had the warning appear on my way home after purchase. I checked the fluid level and it was near empty. Also my Coolant reservoir was empty, so I blamed both problems on the dealer, for poor pre-sale preparation. So I filled both fluids, but the Washer reservoir emptied that same day. I saw the puddle on the ground and knew immediately what the issue was.

This has started happening to mine more and more these past few months. I'm over 60k already, so no longer under warranty. Did they have any specifics about failed? I would guess that maybe just the washer pump would need to be replaced and not the whole washer assembly?

Mine is doing the same. I'm thinking I will just block the line going to the camera. I'm out of warranty and can live with manually cleaning the camera once in a while.

Did you end up doing this? I'm having the same problem. How did you end up blocking that line? I'm also wondering if it's a check valve failure?

Yes I did, extremely flimsy plastic line. Not surprised it started leaking. I cut it at the outlet and put a rubber stopper in it.
No issues since then.
I did sell it about 6 months ago.

Hi Jonathan! I can look into your Bronco's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

Hi, This is happening to my 2022 BS. It has been in 5 times total; 1 for diagnosis and 4 times to repair. The 4th time they replaced the front camera washer portion a second time. It is leaking again.
I would appreciate some actual resolve from @fordmotorcompany on this as this is embarrassing from a quality perspective.

What did they do for the other 2 repairs? My FE does this, I swapped the camera washer when I had the bumper off but it didn’t fix it. There must be a check valve inline somewhere that’s failing. Based on the parts diagram it might right up there at the front

Based on the service paperwork M1PZ 17618 D, washer fluid reservoir pump and seal was replaced the first time.
Then M1PZ 17603 kit jet was replaced 2 times.

Gotcha; that 17603 is the part I replaced as well. Since the hose is ~40$ and a little difficult to fully access, I’m going to add a check valve up front on the hose as far forward as I can (they can be found as washer check valve repair parts on Amazon), I’ll let you know if that fixes it.

Thanks. In my conversation with the service advisor, there is no check valve in this factory hose.
I'm on an extended warranty program and am leaning on Ford for all the repairs.

I’ll give it a few days for testing, but a quick 20 minute job and it appears to have solved my leaking problem! A full tank of washer fluid, a full half day of driving, some frequent random front washer test sprays, and not a single drop leaking. Pressure looks the same as it did before. Before it was just leaking constantly, even after the sprayer assembly replacement. I’ll make a quick write up and link it tomorrow. Stoked, it’s been bothering me since I got the car.

Given that it would puke out the entire tank of fluid even when sitting still with the car off, I’m still highly suspect it was acting like a siphon since the tube sat lower than the reservoir. Adding a check valve seems to have stopped that fun physics mishap.
