Love this car! A Fairlane I believe? Mor pics please!
She’s a survivor. It been in the family since new. Originally my grandfathers, then my dads, and now my brothers. 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner. I’ve got pictures of it in my grandfathers driveway, my dad’s and my brothers.

One of my favorite things about my Big Bend are the wheels. IMO they’re one of the best offered. However I do really like the look of the optional alloy steelies.
I would love a set of them however they are pricey… I would get a set of regular steelies but they weigh so much and I don’t want to put too much stress on my little 3 banger.

Have you compared the weight of a steelie with the OE alloy wheels? I think you might be surprised.

I did very briefly when I first started looking. True steelies seemed to be quite a bit heavier but I guess it could have just been the brand/model I was looking at?

Great history and style of wheels, but I want to know more about what's under the hoods! Those outlaw scoops are hiding tall intakes I'm guessing! That blue '89 Mustang is my favorite fox body. My oldest son prefers the hatchback.
The old Mach 1 had a 351 Cleveland in it. The LTDII had a 460 in it same block as in the T-Bird and Mustang but different internals i have no Under Hood Pictures of the Mach 1 and LTDII. Here's some under hood Pictures of the Mustang and T-Bird.

Wow! That's a lot of motor crammed into the engine bay! What kind of headers are you running? Block huggers or shorties would appear to be the only ones that fit? You didn't move the shock towers either, from the looks of it. It looks great in there!

I won’t put these out there as a favorite, but anybody remember when cars came with wheels painted the same as the car?

The Headers were made by MAC but MAC is no longer in business.Hooker did sell Headers for the 460 Swap but i think they might have discontinued them. The Headers are Long Tubes and run underneath the car and actually are pretty far off the ground and i have no issues with them rubbing anything. Stock shock Towers not moved at all.The Mustang still has the original 4 cylinder Springs Front and Rear and Thanks on saying it looks great in the Mustang. FWIW the Mustang has ran a best of a 11.27@122 mph in the 1/4 Mile with the smaller carburetor in the Picture with the Air Cleaner and i haven't ran it with the Dominator Carburetor in Picture without Air Cleaner but it runs stronger with the Dominator. The T-Bird ran a best of a 11.62@119mph

My ‘56 F-100 had a 390 swap and still enough room in the bay for four adults with the hood closed. ?

That is quite amazing! The 302 in my Comet and Maverick was a b#@$h to get long tubes in. And, I had to wrap them to keep from melting the plug wires! Running it uncorked was a blast as I'm certain it is for you in the Mustang! I know I've got pics somewhere of the Maverick or my son does. I'll look for them and post em. BTW, I ran a single plane offy hi rise with a 650 Holly. 3" outlaw hood scoop.

Guess I’m a throw-back . . . my ’21 BL came with wheels that match the truck — Carbon Gray <lol>
That’s only because we ordered carbonized gray bodies!
