I like the Rays forged wheels on my 30th anniversary edition Miata. Main reason I bought the car. Not a good pic but it says cool things on it, like 30th anniversary Miata, which I like too.

Of course, I love my HLE wheels too. They also made me want it even more.

I wish whoever thought it was a good idea to put black wheels on our travel trailer, would swing by and clean them once in a while :p

The grey wheels on our 24 BL though are fine. Don't show dirt too badly and are easy to clean.

Initially, when I first saw the Badlands wheels, I didn't really like them. Over time, they've grown on me. instead of seeing the 5 openings in the wheels, I see 5 horse heads.

I don't understand the desire for steelies. They remind me of junkyard cars from the 60's which lost their hubcaps- Cars ready for demolition derby.
Alternately, back in the 60s and 70s, one would see abandoned (possibly stolen) cars without hubcaps along the Dan Ryan and Eisenhower Expressways near Chicago. Oh yeah, They had STEELIES! WOW! In High School, it was the poorer kids who had steel wheels who couldn't afford "mags" or replacement hub caps for their cars.
When I see the aluminum steelies on the Bronco Sport, I think , "that sucks, someone stole your hubcaps!"
To each their own, I guess. :)
Or donut spares. My feelings exactly!

Not so many fans here of British sports cars, perhaps?
A PITA to clean. Most I have seen without constant cleaning have rusty spokes.

How about wooden spokes? This is on the beach in LA in 1905. My great grandmother behind the wheel.

So are the honeycomb (aka snowflake) wheels on the '77 Trans Am, and similarly my '88 Fiero GT. A PITA to clean, but nice to look at.

Honestly I think the BL ”steelies” are some of the most creative wheel designs in a long time. They fit the vehicle well & look suitably premium. A worthwhile upgrade for sure. I’m having a hard time picturing other wheels I like quite so much from the current era that really stand out.

I'm with you. Mine came with alloys so I bought a set of Maverick wheels and painted them black. I like the looks and man are they easy to keep clean.

Great history and style of wheels, but I want to know more about what's under the hoods! Those outlaw scoops are hiding tall intakes I'm guessing! That blue '89 Mustang is my favorite fox body. My oldest son prefers the hatchback.

I have heard (in support of these wheels), that they are the strongest of the offerings, rendering them the best for off roading. I have no proof of this however.

And since I don't do any serious off roading other than going over an occasional speed bump, I would not opt for them.

IIRC, they’re forged aluminum, and yes, quite robust. Honestly, if I were to opt for a different wheel, I could easily go with those.
