"Warm" day in the 40's (freedom units) so I did a bit of early Spring cleaning by wiping down the interior panels and floor. First car I ever owned without a carpet floor and it is just so nice. Less dust overall too. Sadly, in the process I also polished off this bottle of Ford Triple Clean that came with my 1990's Mustang.

Nothing too exciting.

Since we bought it just after Christmas, washed it and gave it ceramic wipe down, installed a screen protector, front and rear RokBlokz mud flaps and had the local tint shop, install a windshield eye brow.

Winter Wash & Under-Carriage Care + Subtle Mods
I drive a 2023 Shadow Black Bronco Sport (Big Bend trim), and winter conditions here can be rough—especially with all the road salt. The temperature swings don’t help either. This morning it was -22ā„ƒ (-7.6℉), but by midday, it had warmed up to -10ā„ƒ (14℉).

Washing the car in winter is tricky, so I don’t do it as often as I’d like—usually about once a month. I take it to a DIY spray wash and use only the sprayer. The biggest challenge is rinsing the undercarriage. The sprayer has a flexible end, so I do my best by angling it upward from ground level. Since I don’t park in a heated garage, salt buildup doesn’t accelerate as much, but regular rinsing is still important.

To make things easier for the other three seasons, I picked up a Ryobi Under Carriage Pressure Washer Water Broom from Home Depot. That should help when spring rolls around.

Subtle Mods
On a completely unrelated note—I like how the Bronco Sport looks with winter tires and black steelies. It pairs well with the subtle exterior mods I’ve added:

  • Matte Black Overlay Letters (Front & Rear) – Couldn’t stand the white-on-black lettering, though I like it on other colours.
  • Ford Side Window VentVisors – No regrets. These work great.
  • Rear Smoked Chrome Ford Oval – Definitely overpriced at $100 USD, but I still like it.
  • Hitch Receiver Plug – Simple, effective, and only $5.
  • Mud Guards – A must-have for my area and driving conditions.

Cheers & happy driving!

I seen this piece also. The pattern matches the badlands upper grille but I wasn't sold on the glossy finish. Also may still put a light bar in there
I'm thinking about painting it to match. Should be a simple job.

Just hauled some lumber and cladded one of my porch columns with some cedar wood... need to stain it... The stucco was falling off so instead of attempting a restucco job I just covered it... not too bad : )

And here I was missing my truck, meh!

Yes on Amazon. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit and I will be painting mine to match the satin finish on the Bronco grille.
