Help, I have been finding the XM touchscreen super clunky and some times freezes if I try to do things too fast. Most annoying is that I will touch a channel i want and it will instead choose a different channel nearby. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have had two instances where I had to shut off the car to get the screen to unfreeze. I welcome all suggestions.

Do this …

To find your Sync 3.4 Build Version (do not scan for updates):
Select SETTINGS tab, then
Select GENERAL tab, then
Select ABOUT SYNC tab
It will show the Build Version (latest is 23188 Product).

If not 23188 later…

First step is to manually update to the latest Sync software:

SYNC 3, Software Version: 3.4 Build 23188 PRODUCT (or later version if available)

Follow Fords instructions at this link to download to your own USB Device then install Sync in your vehicle.

Good afternoon! If you'd like to, go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and dealer info and we’ll look into this screen concern. Thanks!

Awesome color choices and trim level... coming up on almost 50k in miles and 3 years of ownership and no complaints... you will be happy with your choice. Understand this is no driveway Queen...hehehe

Is it just with Sirrius XM or everything? Are you running Android Auto or Apple CarPlay wired or wireless?

I am an Apple girl. It doesn’t connect CarPlay unless I plug my phone in. My BF’s 21 King Ranch connects automatically. Maybe I need to spend more time with the owners manual.

Do us a favor and let us know what Build of SYNC 3.4 you are currently running.

Your issue could be an outdated Build of SYNC.

That is correct for ‘21-‘24 Bronco Sports - the phone (iPhone or Android) plugs into one of the 2 data ports ((USB-C or USB-A) below the 8” Display.

Personally I don’t use SiriusXM App from my iPhone because it’s slow and less user friendly - instead when my iPhone is plugged in with CarPlay active, I switch over to Sync and use the native SiriusXM on the Sync screen which has a better user interface and is much more responsive.

You can get a wireless adapter. I’m using the CarLinkit 5.0 and an iPhone. I see latency with XM working with this but not when directly using XM through the Ford Sync app.

I believe your BF's King Ranch is equipped with SYNC 4, which offers wireless CarPlay. Your car has SYNC 3, which requires a wired connection for CarPlay.

Cool, but way off topic… know how to get their infotainment system working better?

You car does not have wireless CarPlay! Ford took it out to save a buck (grrrrr!). Go to Amazon… wireless CarPlay adapter … pick one. It will enable wireless CarPlay, an easy install.

I ditched Sirius and went with Pandora. Pandora works with my Bronco Sport and my wife's 2004 Mustang GT. It's like 50 bucks a year and way more music choices. I know you can use the Sirius App to listen but the alternative is better and cheaper.
