Is TSB 24-2348 cost covered under the "Powertrain Warranty"?

I don’t think so - for sure could be covered under the 36 month 36k mile warranty but ask your dealership if yours can be covered under the powertrain warranty. It would help your case if you are on record as having the rear brake moan issue during that 36 month 36k mile warranty.

Thanks, I will check next week and update the thread.

When I had my dealer do my last oil change they were going to order the new parts for the moan noise on the brakes. After 2 months of hearing NOTHING I called them and was told the new parts won't help at all and that was the last l heard. Frustrating

The general consensus, in this very long thread, was that all the previous remedies were “hit and miss” at best, and that is why I, as probably many others, never took it to the dealer for repair, assuming that it did not present a safety risk. This last one appears more promising. The only catch (to be determined yet) is who is going to pay for it.

Forget even trying to have the Dealer TSB repair. Slap a set of ceramic pad on and never worry or hear the noise again.

Thanks - That would have been my next choice :like:
Just checked with my Ford dealer - it is covered by the "premium extended warranty" that was included with my purchase of the used 2021 BS from that dealer, 2 years ago.
So, I guess it would depend on what coverage you still have.

Check out my post here. At the dealership now:

https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/took-my-bs-into-the-dealership-for-brake-moaning-and-now-getting-the-runaround-about-tsb-24-2326.12522/

They wanted $100 even under the premium extended warranty for the deductible. I was going to tag @Ford Motor Company and see if they could contact the dealership. So I declined the work, but they also gave me a free oil change ($80.00) value which I was going to pay for anyways. So in essence I wound up paying $20 to fix something that should be Ford's responsibility. The details are in the post. All in all a crap experience with this TSB and dealership service as a whole. I came from owning a foreign car to owning a Ford and the dealership experiences are night and day (not in Ford's favor). Hopefully the mating whale calls will stop after the service. But a total PIA to even get to this point.

Hi all
I have a 2024 BSBB and have had the moaning noise from day one. My dealer recently performed recalls and I asked them about the moaning and they stated the recall for that is not yet available. Is this correct? Should I wait or get them to try and fix?
