I just called my Ford Dealership about this latest TSB on the moaning brakes. Dealer told me they have to look at it 1st then submit it to Ford to see if it's covered in my particular case. They do that on a case by case basis. I'm taking it in Thursday at 9am. I will give everyone an update after that. Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't expect a recall for this. It's not a safety issue. Ford will likely issue a service bulletin.
Isn't that what Ford did with this latest TSB on October 29th ?

This TSB is basically indistinguishable from the last one. May be due to suspension sensitivity, but the fix is to replace bushings, clips, etc.? That's what they already did before, and it didn;t work. Am I missing something here???

I went in to the dealer, West Herr Ford of Amherst (NY) ,this morning at 9am. I showed him a copy of TSB 24-2348. He read it, punched some keys on the computer, and said "Yup it's covered in full. " I feel that showing him the actual TSB helped a lot but 3 hrs later I rolled out of the dealership. So far so good. (knock knock)

There have been a total of 4 TSBs so not sure which is the last you are referring to, also the last is 24-2326 which is superseded by 24-2348 because 24-2326 has an error.

The 4 are listed in Post #2 and when I get time I’ll go through them to check the parts and part #s in each

Who are you replying to? My response was to Cursed Bronco who said: “This TSB is basically indistinguishable from the last one.”

Thanks, I will check next week and update the thread.
I just had this repair completed two days ago and was told it was covered under the 36 month 36k mile warranty. I had previously, officially shared about the moaning noise.

Breaks seem firmer, which is nice. No moaning noise so far, it is chilly in the northeast.

After 4 TSB’s that had mixed results, I decided not to be a “Guinea pig” and not to have it fixed, because there is nothing wrong with the brakes – so I will live with the noise. My life experience has proved that anytime you touch something like that, something else will go wrong (“Murphy’s law” maybe).

I didn't notice any difference in the brakes as far as being firmer. It's been very rainy and in the upper 30's here in Buffalo and so far so good as far as the moaning sound. This fix I had done a month ago seems to have done the trick. ( knock knock)

Aftermarket pads did the trick for me, see below. My time is more valuable than repeatedly going to the dealer to perform the same “fix” every few months. Hopefully you don’t experience it again, but keep an open mind to try a different approach if it does.

Well .., yes … but as indicated above the work was done at the dealership 12/5/2024. No rear brake noise now but lets give it a year or so just to make sure.

TSB 24-2348 is Ford’s 4th TSB purporting to fix the Moan Noise In The Rear Brakes … others have posted their opinions above (and on countless other threads) that Ford’s solutions don’t work for long - the jury is still out on TSB 24-2348. Let’s give it the time it deserves.

Here are just a few of many other solutions some owners have employed to fix the Moan Noise In The Rear Brakes:
- Post #27 (link to Powerstop Z23 pads post),
- Damond Motorsports, brass brake caliper bushings “that completely eliminate the caliper flex”: https://damondmotorsports.com/products/ford-escape-16-13-brake-caliper-bushings
