Last year
Nope, 2025 is the change to the stick-on keypad. I have the DIO keypad on my '24 Badlands and it is identical to the keypad on earlier cars, IOW integrated into the B pillar and not a stick-on.
My dealer's techs had a real difficult time installing the keypad, and it delayed my delivery by a day. Unfortunately, my sales rep did not have the DIO's and PDI completed before scheduling my delivery. The F&I folks were real efficient in taking my trade-in and having it prepped, title transferred, and out on the lot for sale. Because my new car was not ready for delivery, and my trade-in was already processed (submitted) to the State DMV), the salesman drove me home, and picked my up the following morning to complete the sale.
I had spent about 4 hours at the dealership before they decided that they could not complete delivery of my new car. That was real bad coordination by my salesman, surprising since he has been in the business for about 11 years and knows the ropes.

Hello, Ford Motor Company.....anybody home?
There has been talk and rumors floating around for the last three years about a Bronco Sport hybrid coming on line for the 2025 MY. After the failed push by FMC and other car manufacturers to go heavy into EVs, FMC is now pushing ICE/electric hybrids over EVs. And yet, FMC still hasn't rolled out a Bronco Sport hybrid. What's that all about? You already know the US market will take the leap into hybrids so what are you waiting for?
Take the bull by the horns and just do it!

I've been purchasing and driving Ford vehicles for over 36yrs. Unless FMC truly listens to their customers regarding hybrids, I may be looking at Toyota in the future. The truth hurts, but needs to be said.
Tonight's YouTube live stream by Long McArthur Ford is set to discuss this. 7:00 PM CDT

When did they lose the pillar-based keypad for the rubber one above the door handle? I love this about my '21.
The new model year 2025.
In 2024, the keypad became a Dealer Installed Option (DIO) on the Bronco Sport, but was still the same integrated B pillar keypad, NOT the stick-on. Dealers had a difficult time with the installation, and I suspect that this is the main reason that they moved to the stick-on as is used on the big Bronco.

There are about a dozen reviews of the 2025 Bronco Sport on YouTube, some of which are simply audio dubs over the Ford supplied media - not hands-on.
However there are also a couple of hands-on reviews with auto media previewing the new models at the new Tennessee Bronco Off Rodeo, and driving them on the new trails. Some reviewers had a look at all of the trims, and most focused primarily on the Sasquatch package option for the Outer Banks and Badlands trims.
I did note that a few of them highlighted the silly bottle opener, but none of them mentioned the under seat storage in the Badlands. I am wondering if Ford found something new to delete for the 2025 model year.
The other notable item that I see in the new BS model is the loss of storage space with the new 13.2" wide infotainment screen, moving the HVAC vents in the space formerly occupied by that cubby.
And like many others, I strongly dislike moving the physical HVAC controls to the touch screen. The advantage of physically distinct HVAC controls is the ability to select the desired knob or button by feel, without taking eyes off of the road. It's all about safety.
Does your computer keyboard have little nubs on the "F' and "J" keys? The reason? Touch typing. Earlier Fords, like my '17 Escape, had easily identifiable HVAC controls by touch, with the central vent button larger and elevated.
Instead, Ford has followed the lead of other auto manufacturers, removing physical controls to the infotainment screen. The end result is built-in distracted driving provided to you by the auto manufacturers who spend a lot of time and money incorporating safety features into the cars. They could have saved a whole lot of money by just keeping the physical controls and not having to engineer the HVAC into the infotainment screen and programming of the BCM and other modules.
Bad, bad bad, Ford!

I'm sure happy to have bought a '24 model and not waited for the 2025s!

It's what they've been using on the Maverick from the start, so I can't say I'm too surprised. I just really love the B pillar keypad... there's a certain elegance to it, but I can understand it's problematic in the rain and/or ice.

Per the 2025 Bronco Sport specs page the under seat storage is still there on the Badlands.

The cubby has been moved to the top of the dash and is now powered by 2 USB ports.

Despite the fact that I agree with others about button removal, option limitations only included in the Sasquatch package, the same limits to tire size and ground clearance as previous models, decreased power and the massive price increase since 2021 I am grateful that they didn't hit the front end with the fugly stick like they did with the Maverick. I mean, the face on the new Maverick makes the 1958 Edsel look like Miss Universe. (I actually kind of like the Edsel even though nobody else did at the time they came out)

Plan on getting 2025 Bronco Sport
So, regarding the missing knobs, on my husband's Ford F150 2014, he's able to voice activate, by saying climate then telling it what he was wanting like to have it cooler ,warmer, fan high or low. I'm wondering if that's how these new ones will be. If so then Ford may be thinking it's safer to tell it what you want then to take your hand off the steering wheel to change the climate, guess we'll find out when the time comes!

Has anyone heard when we'll be able to place our orders for the 2025s?

I guess more ground clearance isn't feasible with the unibody design.

That would be my priority.
Mine as well. All the rest is OK but with no more distinguishable ground clearance I'm not happy.

Maybe Ford will offer a factory kit in the future or endorse an aftermarket one at some point.

I'm not changing anything on my 2021 BL because I have a Ford Premium Care extended warranty and don't want the hassle if I have issues.

Larger tires with the added weight and the drop in gas mileage aren't on my list either.

Stuck with what I have - for now.

Not sure what I'd put in there to bake in the sun. Maybe a pie or burrito!

My first thought was I'd never put ANYTHING in there! Plus whatever you put in there is a missile if you hit something. What were they thinking? I'm in the southwest. I'd never use it.
