2022 Bronco Sport BL
I love my 22 BS BL and will drive it for the next year or two. I see no reason to want to jump into a 25 with what’s been refreshed. I’ll look at them when it comes time to get a new car in a couple years but I’m more interested in the Big Bronco and competitors. For me if I’m spending close to 50k for a BS as I would option it I’ll gladly spend another 7-10k to get something a little better. 4Runner looks nice. I know it’s not really in the same class per se but it’s tempting as well.

Someone shopping for a 2025 will probably find this thread, so I will leave this here.

I just used the online tool to build and price a 2025 Badlands as close as possible to my 2021 Badlands. In order to do that, I had to opt for the sasquatch package. You can't get the tow separate (WTF!?!) and it seems like you don't even get recovery hooks without the package (again, WTF!?). You get some extra stuff that the 2021 doesn't have. Most notably the larger infotainment screen if that's your jam. Also you miss out on a lot of for-granted options that Ford has slowly taken off the build. I was able to pay extra to get the doorpad code put back in as an example.

Final cost as built: $47,070. My 2021 was $39,980 and I paid straight MSRP at the time (which would actually be considered a deal in 2021). That's a $7,000+ upcharge or 18%. I also got 0% Ford financing which is currently hovering at 5.99%. This refresh is pricey. That is well above current inflation rate of 2.9%. My advice to potential buyers would be to carefully shop and consider what this CUV is really worth. That is big Bronco money right there, and if you don't want big Bronco mileage, there are less expensive options in the category than a Sport.

one to one, the 2025 is about $1k cheaper than 2024, but you bet you can spec it higher now...

one to one, the 2025 is about $1k cheaper than 2024, but you bet you can spec it higher now...
Prices are higher. 2024s start at 38.3. My 21 stickered at 38.3. with a lot of equipment added.

I think Ford did this very calculated. You can get all the creature comforts and gas mileage of the Outer Banks plus the off road looks of the Badlands. Seems like many these days pick creature comfort and gas mileage over performance both on and off the road. The Sasquatch package on the full size takes you from a 31 tire to a 35 plus an inch or two more travel. Hopefully they didn’t use the same shock reservoirs on the bilsteen as they don’t last long in salty environments. It will also be interesting to see how the GY Territories treads are. On the full size they are severe rock throwers for the first 10k miles.

I’ll stick with my 22 Badlands for now even with the 22-24mpgs for my everyday utility vehicle.

you got it! the new Outerbanks will eat up sales from the Badlands because most people will naturally migrate to the 1.5L...sales were already low, 10-15% for the Badlands....

compared to 2021?? 100% LOL....prices are higher across the board when you compared to 2021...
You said his 2021 is the equivalent of a base 2025, which isn't true from an equipment standpoint.

You also won't get A/T tires which are only in the Squach pack. Yeah, save the $3k, go drive it off the lot and go right to Discount. That's $1,000 you have to spend right there. You still have no towing capability and no recovery hooks which even not-offroaders use. There's almost no reason to order the Badlands without the squatch pack because there isn't enough aftermarket stuff available to add critical features to an "offroad" oriented service trim. I can totally see Ford changing the available options later once they see the "base" Badlands trim dropping off sales.

I don’t know what the ratio is of Badlands to Outer Banks is but I’m guessing that this will increase the number of Outer Banks and reduce the numbers of Badlands sold. Adding Sasquatch to the Badlands is similar to doing it on the full-size, there isn’t much juice for the squeeze. That being said, there’s a lot of full size Badlands with the Sasquatch package added so you never know.

I went over and spec'd a BL with Sasquatch like I would order and MSRP is $46,755. You can see it here without having to build one. Note this price includes a $695 acqusition fee which is just additional markup by the manufacturer.

The acquisition fee is if you are leasing. It is a fee for processing the lease. If you are buying there is no acquisition fee and that amount should not be included in your build price. Ford website doesn't ask if you are leasing or buying so they just include it in the build price.

Looking at the build website I must be missing something. I see no option for the trailer hitch other than in the Sasquatch package.

No 360+ with Adaptive cruise control?
Ford Co-Pilot360 standard equipment is now Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ across all trims and includes Adaptive cruise control. Initially I thought that was one of the items deleted to justify the lower base price but after digging further it listed under Big Bend details.
