It's not a great big deal but my Sport is 2022 and has 6500 miles, already the plastic trim on the power window controls buttons in the door are peeling off. It seems to me like Ford cannot find a more cheaply-made part for this function. Yes it may be a warranty item but why bother? They will just replace with parts that will wear out after the next 18 months. Funny thing is I read the Ford CEO say the new UAW contract "will add $800 to $900 per car and that they plan to offset that labor cost by using lower cost parts." Hmm, so new Bronco owners' control buttons may only last 9 months? So much for "Quality is job 1." Ford slogan should be "We will travel the earth to find the cheapest, most crappy parts for your expensive new Ford."

On my wife's 21 BS/BB after 2 years the power window switch on the passengers front door the chrome tip of the switch fell off. It is not worth the trip to the dealership since the switch still works fine. Minor detail.

2021 BS BL. No issues with the switches at all. I don't think Ford's are any worse than GM or any other domestic brand.

If it's still under warranty, see if they will replace them.

Hard to tell which one's are peeling. Drivers side, rear?

Not being critical here, but I would keep that area as clean as possible to keep debris from getting down into the switches and causing possible problems. JMO

Supposedly the full size have the same issue. Those are mounted in the console and Ford has them available for less than 30 dollars and takes all of 10 minutes to replace. Look to be the same design on the Sport. Mine are still good but my windows don't see a lot of up and down action. I'd check to see how much the replacements are.

I'm sure these switches are pretty much SOP throughout the ford lineup.

My wife's '83 Buick had an inside door handle break. It was made of pot metal. When I went to buy a replacement, the parts guy said "let me guess, the driver's door?" The replacement part was made of the same cheap metal. That was a profit center for them.

Mines are all breaking. Not really a big deal but just goes to show how cheap some things are made. When they break I use tweezers to remove the trim fully. I like the look better.

The chrome was flaking off the driver window switch on mine too. I took my 21 outer banks to a local dealer for an Oil change. I casually brought it up to the service writer. He took care of it under warranty with no further Discussion.

I did purchase an extended when I bought the vehicle at a different dealer.
That was my experience, yours may vary. This was a lower volume dealer in Schenectady county.

Yes, and I sliced my finger on mine too just trying to roll down the window. Poor design!
