The LED headlights have cooling fans, they will run after you exit the vehicle, there are a number of electrical circuits that run in the background.

After they ran their deep test they tell me the battery is good. They found no problem codes other than those that individual modules will throw periodically. They have another tech that will do an even deeper dive that will take a day to complete so that will happen next week. Thoroughly mystified.

When my battery was going south it would randomly have no start issues. You could drive to the grocery store and it would act normal, come out to leave and then no start. Also during this time, auto start stop would not function properly. Had to go to the dealer 3 times, the first 2 times they said everything was normal, the 3rd time I said I didn't want the BS back until it was fixed, dealer replaced the battery under warranty, no issues since, it's been 7 months now.
I’m wondering if the auto stop start feature is draining the inferior factory battery with the constant starts. Factory batteries are not known to be the best. I put an auto stop start eliminator in my outer banks the first week I owned it. My driving is 90% short hops. No issues so far.

I don't use that feature. I disable it at start up. I also turn off running lights during the day so it's not those causing the problem. They said they did a load test and it passed. I still have a feeling it's the battery, but it will have to repeat the problem in order for me to insist on a new one.

FWIW I bought a battery powered portable jump starter on Amazon for about $50. Haven't had a need to use it yet but if it works as advertised it should be useful so you don't need AAA or jumper cables. It got outstanding reviews but, fortunately, I can't speak from personal experience with it.
What one did you go with? Every time I start looking at them I never get as far as purchasing. But. For that kind of cost, if it saves me having to ask someone for a boost, or can give one to somebody if needed.

Those of y'all that have had battery issues... did you have the lead acid or the other one (AGM??)?

My mom's CR-V had a similar issue. The local Honda said everything was fine but I took it to one wayyy out of town. They said it was fine but kept it for a few days (gave me a loaner and told me to bring it back whenever, and they were 3.5 hours away!). It was the battery.

How many dealership options do you have? If the answer is greater than 1, go to the other place instead of letting the service department yank your chain over an obviously bad $100 battery warranty claim. After dealer 2 fixes it, write a note to the GM of dealer 1 and explain why your next car is coming from the other place.

I would look at a bad connection rather than the battery. When my battery starts to run down, due to too many short trips, I get lots of Remote Features Disabled messages on FordPass. The sudden loss of juice doesn’t sound like it’s just run down.

These Sports run on electricity. Every time you touch it it lights up. My Auto Stop/Start feature is an early warning sign that the battery needs charging. I read once that you need to drive 5 miles to make up for one start. I know it is less now days, but it still drains the battery to start it without driving a ways.

They made daytime running lights mandatory in Canada years ago and the highway fatality rate dropped 10%. I use mine even if manually. The LED daytime lights don't use that much power.

I don't know why everyone doesn't have a battery charger in their garage. Cheap insurance. A 10 amp charger is enough to get it started in about 10 minutes.

I have a combination compressor/jump starter that I take anytime I go out of town. Works like a charm.

I have one of the small lithium jumper batteries, but it wasn't enough when my battery was completely dead.

I once left the stereo on while packing up after a hunt. By the time I was packed, my battery was dead. Everyone else had gone home. My jumper saved me. Many of the places I go, AAA doesn't.

I purchased a LOFTEK which is no longer available. There are several in the price range that I assume are similar. I always check the ratings.

Came out this morning to go shopping and the BS is dead. I mean D.E.A.D.! No sign of life at all. I suspect the battery, but.... any other thoughts? Drove it yesterday and no hint of issues. Thanks for your input!
My 21 Badlands battery died at 5,000 kms. It would completely shut down when I stopped at a traffic signal (I turn off auto start/stop with every power on). Prior to that happening, there were no other warning signs.

I wonder if this is why Ford sells so many of those chargers on the BS accessories site?

I got one for Christmas a few years ago. Works good, but a lot bulkier. I believe there’s an actual battery in there instead of what I’m guessing is a capacitor.

I had a 2018 Escape Titanium before the BL. Original battery failed after 18 months and replaced under warranty. That Motorcraft battery (both were AGM) failed after 15 months.

They wouldn't replace the 2nd battery under warranty, only a 1 time deal. One continual issue was the auto start stop not working which is a sign of a battery issue. Ended up buying a Costco battery and replacing it myself. It was going strong when I sold the car in late 2022.

The battery in my 2021 BL is a lead acid not AGM. Can't figure that out considering all the electronics and accessories on this vehicle from the factory.

I don't drive daily but I
continually have the message "low battery, shut the vehicle off or start it.

Checked the alternator output and
its 14+ volts.

I don't know who makes Motorcraft batteries, but it seems quality is not a
priority anymore.

Maybe batteries are undersize for the needs of today's vehicles.

How do you identify an AGM type battery? And did Ford install any in bronco sports?
