So many coats with the tow hooks, though.

Yea when I originally plasti dipped mine red it took soooo many coats to get the whole hook and have it even. If you’re not careful removing the plastic you’re using to protect everything and it runs against the hook you’ll end up imprinting or smearing the plasti dip. I did it the first time because I touched it and it was dry, but still very soft underneath and I didn’t realize it at the time. If you have to take the plastic off around the hook use a razor blade to cut the plastic from the top and bottom (or sides) so you can remove it gently without it touching the hook at all.

I didn’t even think about that in terms of the bag smearing. I may try to cut the bag out with a razor per your suggestion. What I’m more concerned or curious about is how long to wait before applying the glossifier. I’ve never used it before.

I didn’t use one, but as long as it’s not tacky when you touch it you should be fine. If you have the time to wait, and don’t need to drive, then waiting longer would be best I’d assume.

Changed my tow hooks from red to orange. This spray paint was posted in a Facebook group. It closely matches the Badlands badge. It’s pretty indistinguishable and looks great.

From what I can tell, quite good. I let it dry overnight. But it was sort of a mad dash to clean it up and get out of this house this morning. I will post some photos later this afternoon.

Put the rear number protector on that I used points for. Finally going to put the HRG lift kit on this weekend. It’s been sitting in my garage for months.

Installed a GMRS radio and cleaned up some old wiring while I was at it this weekend. The radio is powered by my Auxbeam 8-gang relay board. The 3-way switch in the glove box switches the Auxbeam panel from an aux power fuse to a constant on fuse, in case I want to run the radio or lights while the car is off. This thread from a ways back helped a lot.

Looking at that picture with your glove compartment taken out. I want to access the ambient lighting wires in that footwell. I'm going to splice wires in them to hook up lit cup holders. Looks like I may be able to get to them with the glove box removed.
