Changed my tow hooks from red to orange. This spray paint was posted in a Facebook group. It closely matches the Badlands badge. It’s pretty indistinguishable and looks great.

I've had good luck with corrosion inhibitors. Here's a list at Amazon. I use ACF-50 personally. I anything that looks like it might corrode a good coat in the fall.the little bit of Ohio salt out there was starting to rust it after our not so awful winter.
Let it dry longer than you’d think or what it says on the bottle if you can. Looks good so far. Best thing about plasti dip is it comes off easy if you don’t like how it turns out.Well, here goes nothing.
Thank you, and thanks for the tip. I did the rear tailgate emblems awhile back. Super easy, flat surface.Let it dry longer than you’d think or what it says on the bottle if you can. Looks good so far. Best thing about plasti dip is it comes off easy if you don’t like how it turns out.
Yea when I originally plasti dipped mine red it took soooo many coats to get the whole hook and have it even. If you’re not careful removing the plastic you’re using to protect everything and it runs against the hook you’ll end up imprinting or smearing the plasti dip. I did it the first time because I touched it and it was dry, but still very soft underneath and I didn’t realize it at the time. If you have to take the plastic off around the hook use a razor blade to cut the plastic from the top and bottom (or sides) so you can remove it gently without it touching the hook at all.Thank you, and thanks for the tip. So many coats with the tow hooks, though.
I didn’t even think about that in terms of the bag smearing. I may try to cut the bag out with a razor per your suggestion. What I’m more concerned or curious about is how long to wait before applying the glossifier. I’ve never used it before.Yea when I originally plasti dipped mine red it took soooo many coats to get the whole hook and have it even. I didn’t use one, but as long as it’s not tacky when you touch it you should be fine. If you have the time to wait, and don’t need to drive, then waiting longer would be best I’d assume.I didn’t even think about that in terms of the bag smearing.
