I drive my BS on the same roads as my last 3 cars, highly modified st, srt4 and a audi tt
quattro . I like lowered stiff suspensions. Saying that I like the way my BS handles with the lift. It was lifted with a spacer kit so may be a little stiffer but I didn't notice it much. I drive the same lines thru turns and have absolutely no issues with the way the BS drives. To me it's not rough at all and I wouldn't want it softer. If you did go for the spring lift if not the co's.

With most aftermarket mods you are covered by the magnuson-moss act which means they cannot deny a claim based on aftermarket parts ...
Well, that is kinda not true in affect, which is the problem. If they "cannot", then they would not. However, they do. What the law really implies is "if they do, and you can prove they did it erroneously" then you have a claim.

That really sucks for a lot of people who had/have real warrant claim issues that get/got denied with no real proof. Guilty until proven innocent law. Does it help, yes, for sure, but it's still pretty onerous on the vehicle owner unless you hire a lawyer (which some might say is also onerous). Best thing to do is document all your maintenance and never take "it's not covered because of a mod" as an answer, unless it is obvious that you f'd something up.

I have a 2021 outerbanks and I put the Rough country 1.5” lift on myself in the driveway. It’s not hard at all, took a couple hours. There’s videos that show you where to trim the strut and mount the brake line. Make sure you get an alignment afterwards is the most important thing.
I’ve had the lift on my vehicle for about a year with no issues or noises. I would recommend the lift especially for the price that others are going for.

I love my Bronco sport for what it is, but if I needed beefier, manlier I would have bought a full size bronco.
for gas economy and price i went with the sport. For no use now as its been in dealership for 2 weeks because of a back order on my leaky fuel injector.

A whole lot of “I think it would” and “it must be..” in this thread.

Instead of making suppositions, or “opinions”, I’ll tell you how my 21 badlands is with ford installed 1.5rc lift and 245/65/17 all terrain tires.

Handling,
I thought I felt bumpsteer when turning at first but never felt it again.
It rides as smooth if not better than before.
It is not “top heavy” even though the theoretical centre of gravity has raised.

Mileage,
Hasn’t changed but it’s only been a week. Certainly not enough for me to notice.

off road,
We were out tonight on a new trail, if we didn’t have the lift we would have crushed the rocker in on the right side. Wife went up over a rock and the tire went into mud, I thought it was a bit more solid but it wasn’t. Tire went over the rock and when the vehicle dropped it went so close I can’t believe it didn’t hit. Lift saved it. More importantly, the break over angle has really increased for only 1.5” plus the 1” or so from the tires.

What else do you want to know because we’re driving it every day and all these “it’s probably worse in high wind now” questions can be stopped before they turn into a rumour or dissuade people from getting a lift.

I bought my BS for its looks, fuel economy, and price. Had I wanted a more "spirited" off roader, I would have looked for models that accommodate that.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it still looks like a pig.

So you didn’t buy it to off-road, but you’ll quickly tell others they are wrong for off roading it… ok…
Well, I did buy mine with full intentions of off roading it and so far have really enjoyed it. Badlands are very capable in the right hands.

Tell me where you see that I told others they are wrong for off roading it. I stated I would have bought a more spirited model if that was my case.

Enjoy yours, and I'll enjoy mine. The lipstick still holds true.

Hey there! I got my Bronco sport Big bend at the star of January. Although I love it I need it to look beefier. "manlier" Lol. Ill take all the advice I can but I think a lift is important for what I want. I called the dealership and they said it wouldn't affect my warranty but it would effect the handling. would it really effect it that bad? they said I would need to find someone who knows exactly what their doing as it is easy to mess up. (im in LA/valley) How bad can it mess it up? I know close to nothing about working on cars but I'm not an idiot and have a general idea on how things work. would it be dumb to have the ford dealership add on all the things i want to add? like the nudge bar with lights, fender flares, etc? I know thats like 5 questions in one and they all have been answered here before, just couldn't find em
Don’t waste your time and money.

My RC kit has been one since December and the only issues I have had were either install error or shop error.

I had the typical knock but tightened the lower swaybar nut and regreased the hrg links and it went away.

Second issue was I went with the cheapest shop to align it. All seemed good until I heard a vibration in the rear after a 1500 mile road trip and when I went to rotate my tires I noticed a shit ton of toe wear. Took it to the ford dealership to have it realigned and it was way off on the alignment. (My error for not being more proactive and the other shops error per dealership)
