Getting ready to retire it was time to get rid of one toy to get my retirement toy.
Traded my Focus project in for the Bronco to help make that happen. I needed a off road "need for speed " relief.
20mm worked with my stock 18" rims but barely, was very close. No prob with my other rims, much more clearance for stud to wheel inside. 50k on bs and running good.
I got to put on a receiver and tow for the first time. Bronco did fine on the long hill out of town and 35 miles on the highways. My new toy has a bigger motor than the Bronco, 1.8L 4cly.
I used a very sharp small rod to poke a hole after exploring under the dash and then used a coat hanger to pull the wires thru.
I used no sealant of any kind. I didn't slit the grommet, and the two harnesses created a very tight fit thru that little hole. I would recommend prob putting a little...
The prob is there is no room to get your hands where they need to be without removing the battery. There is a nice big empty space behind that battery. The airbox is not bad. Loosen the intake clamp, take lid and filter off, airbox pulls straight up and out, maybe a sensor you need to unplug...
Yes, you don't remove anything when you install the skid plate. Four bolts and it drops down and your bs is just how it came. There are 4 spacers involved.
I've had one on for about 1.5 years and 7 oil changes. There are 4 bolts that hold it on. Takes less time than removing the factory cover. I pull up on ramps, pull the skid and cover then back down and change oil. Move back up and install cover and skid. Prob took a couple times to get it...
I just changed the lead acid one that came on mine out for a agm. 18 months use and 37k miles, I was expecting it. Mine gave no weird signs, just didn't want to start so I replaced it. I recall a couple batteries in brand new cars I've purchased never making past 2 years and one lasted about 8...
Drove to work, turned off bs and then it wouldn't restart. No other warning. 22 bs bb, been driving a little over 1.5 years and 37k miles. Replaced the OEM lead acid battery with a agm and no more probs.
Yes it is a 1.5 HRG lift. I will go flat out CO's when time for new shocks. Flat out wasn't available yet. Ride is fine , hardly notice anything except you sit higher. Tires are falken wildpeaks 245x65x17.
I put my lift on when my bs was about 2 months old and 36k miles ago. I installed myself and have previous experience. There is nothing special or hard on the procedure. Most issues I've seen were poorly designed parts causing issues, clunking top or endlinks that for the most part have been...
yes it is. It was what I had laying a around to experiment with. It works good, there is a noticeable difference. If I was purchasing something it would be prob be fuel line tubing. I don't know about anyone else; I haven't paid a lot a attention to hood seals lately but I surely remember...
My first one the crack went from instant 2" or so right when it happened to about a foot within 10 minutes. The second was instant 4" or so and grew over a couple days to over a foot.
