Issue for me is that I use Apple Carplay 100% of the time, and I find myself having to joggle the temperature dial back and forth to figure out the right temperature, and that is just annoying. After looking at that video, the temperature readouts on the screen are more than good enough.
It's so annoying... I feel your pain.Issue for me is that I use Apple Carplay 100% of the time, and I find myself having to joggle the temperature dial back and forth to figure out the right temperature, and that is just annoying.
Exactly. If you're comfortable, does it matter what temp it's set at? If you're not comfortable, you're going to be adjusting the temp which will bring up the temperature display anyway.I guess this is a style thing; I don't know why you would need to see the temp all the time. If I'm cold/hot I don't really care what it's currently set at, I'm gonna turn the temp up/down. When I do the temp will be on the screen so I don't set it up too high/low. What's the benefit of having it on the screen all the time?
Weekend success!

When are you gonna switch out your start button for the one with the green light? The one you have will never do.Weekend success!

Tested all of the functions and they all work. For me personally, so much better, I've always had a temperature display in my previous cars. Took 1.5 hours total.
I installed the ambient lighting in the cup holders from the Ford Escape part in another thread here on the forums! hahaWoah, congrats!!! This is awesome. Thanks so much for posting the pics!!
Iām also noticing the really slick ambient lighting in the cup holders, yours must be an outer banks? Did it come like that or did you install those too? Heard they nixed that on the ā22s
Wait so Apple CarPlay only lets you see the temperature for a split second? I use Android Auto and its up for at least 2 seconds. Granted short, but if I am driving I shouldnt be paying attention to the AC temp setting and just cranking the power dial from low and higher. And that still stays on the screen for at least 2 seconds.Issue for me is that I use Apple Carplay 100% of the time, and I find myself having to joggle the temperature dial back and forth to figure out the right temperature, and that is just annoying.
Nice work on the controls swap! Iām curious, in this before picture where are you routing that USB cable to? My wife uses CarPlay often and this looks so much cleaner than keeping a cable stuffed in that lower cubby.
