Brake pedal was hard as a rock. If you can’t budge the brake pedal, car won’t start. Dash cycled through various screens, all bad. Service recommended “hard reset“ by disconnecting battery, which worked. Anybody else have this problem or know cause?

My sentiments exactly. Bronco is 21 Outer Banks, one of the first built, 12/20.

That sure sounds like a dead battery could be causing that.

Good morning. Would you privately message us with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this concern? Thank you!

When my 2021 OB was towed out of my garage last week (see my other threads for details) the tow truck driver pulled the manual release to attempt to get the car into neutral. That set the parking brake right away which he thought was a safety feature installed by Ford. Obviously not to practical in this situation!

He ended up hooking my car up by the tow hitch and put heavy duty plastic slides underneath all 4 tires. He essentially had to drag my car out of the garage. It was painful to watch. Now I'm in limbo as my car sits at the dealer but fortunately they gave me a loaner car to use in the meanwhile.

Took 3 different tow driver. But due to the angle if my garage to my driveway. I needed a regular truck ( nothing flat ). Also needed something called jump pro. But 8 hours after it started. Now await dealers findings.

Turn out to be my fault. When I replaced the battery. I put the tubing on before I finally tightened the battery bolts. But after putting on tubing. It wedged the wires tight enough I felt they were tight. But it wasn't so it acted like it still had an electrical issue.

But as far as why it would unluck into neutral. Was told if it has a dead battery it won't go into neutral.
