Apologize if this has already been asked. What is the percentage of U.S. parts that go into the BS that would not be subject to the tariff/tax? I thought vehicle window stickers use to show component content from each country.
there was a picture in this thread, but I believe it’s only 25% of US parts and the Escape 33%

While fun to speculate, I find it more useful to track prices on cars.com. There has yet to be an increase. Actually, in my area it looks like the BS is down about $1000 this year.

I know I was shocked when I read this yesterday!...this could be huge for them, given China is the biggest car market in the world.

Plan on getting 2025 Bronco Sport
I just read on Ford Authority that Ford plans on relocating all plants to Hawaii!

Most don’t get to the end of the article which says

“We’ll have more on this never, because this was our final April Fools’ article for 2025. We hope you enjoyed all of them!”
Ooh okay, ya guess I missed that!

It may be assembled in Mexico, but parts are manufactured all over North America. I highly doubt the BS would be exempt at least on some level.

It's noteworthy, too, that Ford has tweaked the price of the BS models to be a bit less or at least hold the line from 2024.

This is a truly screwey situation brought on by someone who doesn't have a clue how tariffs work. It certainly isn't going to push auto manufacturers to bring all their assembly plants back to the U.S. And even if it did that would take years to happen and U.S. auto workers are not going to accept lower wages for those vehicles to be built in the U.S. Ford, and others, are not going to spend god-knows-how-much to relocate their manufacturing back to the U.S.

Then again the real intent might be to get Americans to pay for the insane tax cut they want for the billionaires partly through the tariffs as well as cutting all the services and departments Americans rely on.

Ford and others have warned that if they go through with these ill-advised tariffs they will likely crater the U.S. auto market.

So, with the recent breaking news today of a 25% tax going into effect on vehicles manufactured outside the USA, naturally my question is will this directly affect the pricing of all Bronco Sports from now on? I know the BS are exclusively built at a plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, correct?

The correct spelling is "screwy," not "screwey". Seems someone knows about as much about spelling as someone else who "doesn't have a clue about how tariffs work."

67% of BS parts are not made in the US. The Escape is made in the US. It used to take 4-6 weeks to retool a plant for model changeover when the car was built on the same platform. They should be able to do it again.

I know but I mean…tons of other sources explaining the real cost, but nothing on Fox in recent times…it’s like the topic is being avoided all together there ???
Are you sure they're explaining the "real" cost or just how they want you to see it? All the networks slant one way or another these days. Just have to wait and see.

Ford just announced "employee pricing on most models (excludes Raptor and diesel trucks) to help offset any potential price increases due to the tariffs.

I am truly amazed at the American public's forgetfulness. After/during COVID, this nation realized how dependent it was on everything from everywhere but here. The hue and cry was never again should America be dependent on computer chips, drugs, basically everything. Trucks piled up in parking lots waiting for chips. Christmas toys were left on ships.
Forcing businesses to move here will have long-lasting effects on our national security.
Also for those who cry that the factories will take years, watch the Ford F150 factory switch over to aluminum on YouTube, they gutted and retooled a factory in less than two months.

this is a good move by Ford - their inventory levels are above the industry average and several of their models are pilling up in dealer lots…when that 25% tariff hit, I am not sure what will happen to them.
