Most recent was a Subie Forrester. Why? Especially since I worked for Ford???
Perhaps because "familiarity breeds contempt".
And reliability. My previous Escape (2L turbo) had the engine blow in the first year. And our several previous Escapes all had issues, some even stranding my daughter in the middle of an intersection.

But as good as the Subie was, it was boring. A librarian's car. And I was lusting after a BS from day one, but knew better than to buy in the first year. Waited for the 3rd, and when the Heritage Limiteds showed up, I had to pounce.

But what else? In descending and often overlapping order:

'23 Bronco Sport Heritage Ltd
'21 Suburu Forrester
'19 Escape 2L turbo
'07 Escape
'06 Hyundai Tuscon
... (a pattern emerges- the small SUV just makes sense to me!)
'01 Escape
'00 Focus 2 dr
'92 Saab 900
'90 Dodge (Mitsubishi) Colt- got an honest 40mpg!
'86 Pontiac Sunbird Turbo
'98 Pontiac Transport
'63 Ford Falcon van
'84 Ford Mustang 4-banger notchback (by way of marriage)
'69 Ford Torino
'82 Mustang GT
'72 Triumph TR6
'70 Triumph TR6
'66 Shelby GT350-H (Hertz! Sold it off in a box once I realized the project was way outta my league)
'66 Ford Cortina
'65 Ford Cortina
'65 Ford Cortina
'65 Ford Cortina
'74 Ford Capri
'74 Ford Capri V6
'60-something Fiat 128 (can't recall why or how THAT happened)
'68 Fiat 124 Spider
'69 Fiat 124 Spider
'72 Ford Capri (turbo'd)
'66 Triumph Spitfire

...I know I'm forgetting something...

Dude, you change cars the way most people change jeans! "Boring" is about the worst thing you can say about a car, unless you're buying it for your 16-year-old son...

I've seen threads like this on other forums and didn't see one here. It can be interesting to see someone's vehicle progressions or all the interesting cars they've owned.
Just a 2018 Subaru Legacy Premium.

Traded in our 2003 Lexus IS300 sport for the 2021 Bronco Sport Big Bend.
Still have a 1997 Toyota Celica GT Convertible Limited Edition, but am actively looking to sell her. Had a 2015 Honda Accord sedan, a 2001 Lexus RX300,
A 1998 Isuzu Rodeo, a Saturn View and a Saturn Ion, a Suzuki swift, a Volvo, and first car was a tiny Chevy.
I loved the Isuzu, the Lexus’ were great and I can fix them myself (not the new

models… but I probably could)
I want a full sized Bronco now.

Not my own, but my 1st car in Canada was a lease - Nissan Sentra 2021 SV. Liked it very much but needed a big vehicle as my family was coming to live with me.

My very first vehicle was a custom ordered 1979 Bronco. Midnight Blue and Silver with black top, limited slip front and rear axles. Took many years but back in a Bronco again. Traded My 2009 California Special Mustang and my 2006 F150 to get the Bronco Sport. Current stable is 2007 Mustang and a 2008 Escape.

I'll go first!

My first car was a 1989 Nissan Pulsar NX I bought while still in high school in maybe 1998. The paint was fadedhe T tops leaked. The a/c didn't work until the day I sold it. But it was a fun car until I sold it before going off to college. I didn't have a camera back then so you just get this ad I found online.

I replaced that with a brand new 1999 Ford Escort ZX2 Hot. I had that until 2010 and almost 200,000 miles. The only issues were the a/c (they get used a LOT in South Texas) and I couldn't shift into 3rd gear. Sorry, only pic I have is with my breakfast going on some school trip.

I sold that and bought my late grandfather's Ford Taurus. I think it was in 2003. It had a lot less miles but the engine died on me, so I sold it to CarMax.

I traded the Taurus in for a 2000-something Nissan Maxima. I always had a love for Maximas but when I was driving home, I just didn't feel comfortable in it. The infotainment/dash layout felt cheap but it was a very expensive car. It just didn't sit right with me. So I took it back a few days later.

CarMax was great, no pressure, but I needed a car. I came across this 2006 Honda Accord EX. I didn't like them back in 2003/4 but in 2012, it looked great. So far, it's been one of my favorites.

That car was totaled when I hit a black cow in the middle of a FM road at midnight. When I was laying in the hospital, I was already looking at 2006 Accords to replace it with. In hindsight, I wish I had found one a little newer since this was a couple of years after I bought the first one. But I found this great 2006 Accord EX-L navi 5sp manual that I couldn't pass up. I had that car from 2013 until 2023 and 206,000 miles until a bolt snapped when I was replacing the VTEC solenoid. It's going to be a pain to take out and I was planning to replace it in June, so I got on the road to look for an Accord or Passport to replace it with.

The newer Hondas just didn't buzz me and I turned around and saw the BS. It was on the higher end of my budget but it was the color I wanted. The other two they had were black and that light blue Heritage one. So far, I'm liking it, even though the first couple of days I couldn't eat. I sort of wish I had looked for one with the Convenience Package but I didn't even know which packages or trims were available. Usually I'll do hours of research when buying a toaster or Keurig but this was one of the most impulsive buys ever. I guess it's a good thing there aren't many accessories or anything else to add on it to keep me from spending extra cash.

Studying as a college student can be quite a balancing act, especially when you're juggling various academic responsibilities. One challenge I often face is finding the right resources to make complex topics more digestible. That's where StoryboardThat has been a game-changer for me. Whether I'm studying the Branches of US Government (Visit site) or trying to grasp intricate concepts like the water cycle, their educational materials have been a fantastic aid. It's like having a personalized tutor breaking down complex subjects into clear, visual formats. So, when I see someone asking about what they owned before their Bronco Sport, it reminds me how crucial the right tools are in both learning and everyday life. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend visiting this site. It might just transform the way you tackle your studies!
It's great to hear about your car history! Your journey through various vehicles, from a 1989 Nissan Pulsar to your current Ford Bronco Sport, reflects the different phases and experiences in life. Cars often hold sentimental value, and it's interesting to see how your preferences evolved over the years. Your Ford Bronco Sport looks fantastic, and I hope you continue to enjoy your drives with it. If you have any questions or want to share more about your car experiences, feel free to do so!
