Those ridges on the front that are supposed to make it look cooler means that it isn't just the sun shining in from in your face that reflects. The sun coming in from the side reflects into your face also. Tempting to cover the hood with flat black. There are many things I love about my Sport, but that isn't one of them.

I found a genuine dislike. The storage area in the front of the center console is like a damn Faraday cage. Any signal less than 2 bars is zero bars when my phone is in there.

This has gotten on my nerves lately. If you open a back door, and not even sit in a seat when you get to your destination and power off the dinger goes off and the screen says to check the back seat.

I think there is a way to disable that back seat reminder thing.

I’ve had my OB five days. The only dissatisfaction so far is the small ass print in the owner’s manual. Even with reading glasses it’s a chore. I wish they had a large print version, like Reader’s Digest. Thank God for YouTube tutorials.

I find the PDF one great to use for that.

Love my vehicle! Very minor gripes incoming:

I'm not able to flash my brake lights quickly because they stay on for about one second after you let your foot off the brake. Quickly touching the brake repeatedly to warn drivers of something up ahead just makes the brake light constantly on.

Adaptive cruise in ECO mode is unusable.

Adaptive cruise FREQUENTLY throws on the brakes for pedestrians clearly on the sidewalk, which causes me to cover the accelerator, instead of covering the brake.

Automatic high beams very frequently flash quickly on in people's eyes. On for a split second, quicker than you could even physically do it.

As discussed in another thread, the analog lights in the instrument cluster, such as blinkers and headlights, do not dim with the rest of the interior lights. Also, when headlights are turned completely off, the interior lights come to full brightness and will not dim.

The rearview mirror and technology near it is very large and obscures a large portion of the windshield.

The center console is slightly too low to be as comfortable as my 2011 Escape. In terms of storage, it is about 1/5 as large as the 2011 Escape.

No pockets on backs of front seats. The MOLLE straps are silly and are in no way a replacement.

Windshield wipers are difficult to flip up for snowy conditions.

Low windshield washer fluid warning comes on at every stop sign as the fluid sloshes even when there is a lot left. It will hold a whole jug of fluid, but only if you ignore the warning going off for weeks.

Interior panel is already wearing where the seatbelt buckle hits it.

Love the floodlights on the liftgate! Wish the button to turn them on was instead a switch so they would come on every time I open it.

That's about I can think of.

OK, Ya really want to know the only thing I dislike about my BSBL?

Background first;
1. I'm not the youngest person on this forum. My 1st car was a '47 Plymouth sedan!
2. My 1st personal computer was a Commodore 64. I built my own XT and 286PC!
Back then, computers often quit functioning for no apparent reason. Solution was to turn off computer, wait 10 to 30 minutes, then reboot. It was called a stall, or glitch.

Now, about my '21 BSBL, first delivered in 12/'20, I bought it used with 17K miles. I find it to be much like those first computers. In fact, I consider it a new model PC with a motor and wheels! It is complete with the new PC glitches. 2 examples:

1. Driving from New Mexico to California, got check engine light in Flagstaff, AZ. No cause found, finished driving home. Next day, alarm was gone (after sitting in garage all night).
2. Driving home from Bakersfield, CA. (approx 75 miles), got "check manual" alarm (orange monkey wrench) & lost significant power. "Powertrain Fault E323455 Illuminates when the system detects a powertrain or a 4WD/AWD fault. Contact an authorized dealer as soon as possible" No other symptoms, temp OK, continued home. Next day, alarm gone.
Both times had OBD check by pro mechanic, no alarms or records of alarms.

So, what do I dislike about my BSBL? I have another 1st generation computer complete with stalls and glitches. Only this one has a motor and 4 wheel drive! But Wife and I still love it!:inlove:

I guess you want it like some high end German cars do? I've heard there's a way to mod that. Either something you plug into the fusebox or at the brake lamp so that you hit the pedal and it flashes the lights then changes to steady on. If you search for strobe brake or flasher it should come up. Can't speak to it working on the BS.

Adaptive cruise in ECO mode is unusable.
Now this... this is why I wanted a Badlands even though a bunch of members will say I am arrogant, a street racer and talk down the other trims. Yeah, I had the same experience on my 1.5 test drive. So I hear what you're saying. It is almost unresponsive. Not everyone thinks so, but I'd agree with you. Not a pleasant combo...

Adaptive cruise FREQUENTLY throws on the brakes for pedestrians clearly on the sidewalk, which causes me to cover the accelerator, instead of covering the brake.
...but I don't have it do this. It is pretty "dumb" about cars that turn, especially if they do it way to slowly and then it flashes the collision warning and brakes hard. I blame the other driver for not making a turn normally.

Automatic high beams very frequently flash quickly on in people's eyes. On for a split second, quicker than you could even physically do it.
Yup. Even high reflectance road signs set mine off. You can go into the settings and just disable the feature. I don't like auto wipers for the same reason. One sensor cannot accurately make the feature function the way I want it to function. Better off than annoyed!

I haven't noticed this but I'm afraid if I go check then I won't be able to un-notice it again.

The rearview mirror and technology near it is very large and obscures a large portion of the windshield.
I think most '20+ cars have this. What's it blocking that you need to see anyways? Planes? Sometimes it blocks the sun for me!

No pockets on backs of front seats. The MOLLE straps are silly and are in no way a replacement.
Do you not have a side pocket between the seat and the console and also a zippered pocket above the molle? There should be a "waterproof" pocket large enough for a quite large tablet.

Windshield wipers are difficult to flip up for snowy conditions.
Yes, this is poor design IMO. Workaround is to shut off the car mid-cycle and then flip up. PUT DOWN BEFORE restarting or say bye bye to the hood paint. There are also tarps and dams you can buy and drop there to stop ice intrusion. Don't pull them up by hand when the car is off.

Low windshield washer fluid warning comes on at every stop sign as the fluid sloshes even when there is a lot left. It will hold a whole jug of fluid, but only if you ignore the warning going off for weeks.
A lot of BS had this issue on an older version of Sync. Make sure your vehicle is up to date.

Interior panel is already wearing where the seatbelt buckle hits it.
Protip, get a roll of 2"wide black Velcro at Home Supply. You'll use it for all sorts of stuff. Mounting wireless adapters, GDO, etc. Cut a section and toss the 'hooks'. Apply the 'loops' where the scuff is happening.
