New guy here... hello all.

I am also stuck in purgatory. Order date 1/22, in production since 6/18.... That date at the bottom of the window sticker changed at least 5 times, if not more. Seriously considering just cancelling and ordering a MY22 since I've waited this long...

We are considering cancelling too but instead of ordering a 22 model we are considering giving another company our business. Not sure yet who that would be but the way Ford is handling things is putting a sour taste in our mouth. If Ford could just respect their customers enough to communicate with them we would have a whole different opinion. I would NEVER leave a customer of mine hanging like this. Communication is so important and goes a long way towards making a relationship work.

That advice is more than just two cents worth, yes Ford needs to be more transparent with the order priority and build process. The people with long standing orders need to be told just what is holding up their delivery and why they are being bypassed by more recent orders. I can fully understand the frustration of having a BS sitting in the desert jail for months while others get a get out of jail free card. An online rant or poison pen email isn't going to help your case. This is the first time in 50+ years of buying cars I have had to order one, I've always been able to go to a high volume dealer and say I want that one over there, but times sure have changed.
From where I sit this is one colossal PR blunder.

It's cool that Ford sends the status message when you order the car, and along the way. It is also great that their trackers are public, and can be accessed. The real issue isn't that some cars wait longer than others. The issue is that they offer all these trackers, but the whole system is meaningless because the data is so inaccurate and random.

As purchasers we all need to take a breath, and understand that the actual delays are mostly a function of covid fallout. There are many, many factors beyond anyone's control. But, Ford is bring this on themselves by making is a classic political mistake. When you have an issue, people are much more forgiving when they know the full truth, and know it as soon as they can.

Ford could turn this around with a few easy measures.

1. Go public with exactly what parts or issues are slowing some cars. - If those people waiting for 5 months to get their cars knew they were waiting for -- an engine, sunroof, chip, or whatever --. Like it or not, we'd be more satisfied with the truth. Some might move on, some would wait. I'm guessing more people would wait if they knew the truth than will with Ford's non-information campaign.

2. Don't put out inaccurate info or guesses. The whole blanket 10/30 or 11/3 date thing is just dumb. IT means they don't know. That is a date that will never happen. It might be earlier, it might be later, it would be better to just say "the delivery date cannot be determined at this time."

3. Don't let leaks and speculation from various websites become the conventional wisdom. Get ahead of them and tell the truth.

4. If you don't know if you can deliver a car withing about 4 months, DON'T TAKE Orders. I'm guessing someone in the financial wing is using all those orders to tell a board of directors or investors that they have all these future sales on the books. It's bad because they are creating ill will, undermining any future trust in an ordering system, and lastly deluding themselves about their actual future sales. By the time they build all those cars (and Trucks) many buyers will have already purchased something else. The Bronco Sport won't be the hot car forever. The alternative is to announce that orders can be taken but the cars will not be delivered for XX months.

Sorry about the rant, but after a lifetime in marketing, it's killing me to see Ford botch this so completely.

Ford could get a lot of ppl on board with this waiting forever thing if they said you get a bigger rebate if you wait longer. Provide an incentive to wait. Communicate with their customers with meaningful information. And force dealers to lock in the older prices when ordered. As it is now Ford gives ZERO, raises prices, and ppl are reporting those higher prices are getting passed on to them despite having to wait 1/2 year or longer. So keep going Ford, keep ignoring us, keep raising prices, keep your waiting customers in the dark, provide ZERO to ppl who waited forever etc etc etc.

Just look around at this forum, bronco6g.com forum, and the various F150 forums. Hey Ford you are doing a great job really pissing off a lot of ppl with your CUSTOMER LAST policies!!!

If Ford really wants to go with custom orders than filling dealer lots in the future, they have a lot of things to figure out, customer satisfaction being one of the big ones.

My BS has been “in transit” since 7/29. Bottom window sticker date just changed to 8/4. What does this date change mean?
Although I just recently joined as a registered member, I have been lurking about for several months reading posts and watching trends. It seems that the issue of the date at the bottom of the window sticker changing gets some folks curious, worried, and some times confused. I have noticed a pattern with the date at the bottom of my window sticker. It changes about once a week, typically on a friday. My guess, and only a guess, is that it may be an automated process that occurs once a week, and that automated process reflects the date change. I don't believe it has any hidden meaning.

I would 100% be significantly less annoyed by waiting if Ford was more transparent about the build situations and offered special deals for longer waits. The $1k order rebate is a good starting point, but they only made it retroactive to April meanwhile many of us have been watching since March or February or even earlier than that.

I don't blame Ford entirely for whats going on, I'd imagine much of this is outside of their control. But I think they certainty could handling it a lot better as well. The Bronco and Bronco Sport have been some of the most hotly anticipated new vehicles for a couple years, I'm sure they knew demand would be high.

Exactly. Ford isn't responsible for the chip and other part shortages and that I understand but they are responsible for their lack of communication with their customers. I imagine they do not care because the Broncos are so popular right now that if we don't buy the one we have on order someone else will almost immediately.

That pretty much sums it up. Ford has their head in the sand oblivious to waiting customers. Customer Last seems to be their approach.

Once again, I am so sorry to you all waiting for so long... but holy crap all within like 2 days, the tracker went to from In Production to Built, and now has an estimated dealer delivery of 9/1.

Window sticker date went from 7/29/21 to 8/6/2021 if that means anything.

My only concern is that the Etis site says "error: Cannot download this data from PTI service" under everything so I can't see any modules. Maybe it's just down or hasn't been updated yet?

I also don't think it'll take until 9/1 to get to central-ish Texas from Mexico if it does indeed ship soon.

My heart is with you all still waiting and I am hoping for the best for everyone.

The tracking systems probably need computer chips that we all know are rarer than spotting 2-Unicorns in Times Square! ?
