After initial order acceptance on 11/12/2021, no communication for over four months after that, and five scheduled build changes I now have a window sticker. This coming week was my most recent scheduled build week so things are on track with most people’s experience other than my overall exceptionally long wait, which I still attribute to a low-volume dealer with low allocation.

Still, I’m glad things are finally proceeding! I’m 459/795 for this run, for what it’s worth.

You've have certainly waited long enough, glad it's finally showing progress.

So what's your Ramp code and have you used the order track app yet?

Update! I reached out to my salesman yesterday, asking if he had access to the VVR or had any updated tracking info for me. He sent me what he thought was a railcar number. I was skeptical because it started with UP and I hadn't seen that here before. I called Union Pacific and it worked!

To recap, I received the built email on June 3 and the shipped email on June 9. UP confirmed this morning that it arrived in Nogales AZ on June 10. I'm not sure why it sat there for 9 days but was finally loaded June 19 at 7:41 am and is set for "arrival at industry" tomorrow, June 20 at 11:29 pm.

Did anyone figure out definitively what "industry" means? I read somewhere that it is the final destination where it is then loaded for final transfer to the dealer (on a truck?). My ramp code is RA4K, which is Portland, OR, so I find it hard to believe that it would travel that far that fast based on others' experience.

Arrival at industry in this case means the autorack will arrive and be placed at the UP Barnes Yard in Portland. Your car will be offloaded shortly after that, then you commence the excruciating hell of waiting on that last 160 miles which takes as long or longer than the first 1600.

As an aside, mine was scheduled to arrive at 11:29PM also, which indicates a scheduled route probably. It arrived at 10:48PM, so a little early. At least the railroad can get stuff where it's going.

Thank you once again, thekingprawn! Does it really move that fast? I find it hard to believe that it would travel from Nogales AZ to Portland OR in less than 48 hours!

Any word on yours? I was hopeful that one of those trucks spied heading north on I-5 yesterday was heading to your dealership.

The loaded statement followed by a date/time is either time of report or last logged activity. UP's tracking info is thinner than light beer. The Nogales date/time is when it was picked up by UP. You won't get any discernable or useful information between pick up and drop off. I was lucky and caught a couple of arrived/departed reports, and even one scheduled departure, but there were no locations attached making the information useless other than to verify movement was happening. Also, I'm fairly certain that all the info from UP is in Central time, so tomorrow around 9-10 PM you should get that fantastic "placed at industry" and "held for unloading" messages from the tracker.

Tracker still says shipped. My dealership is as useless as lips on a chicken when it comes to advanced tracking or detailed information. Every communication from them has been lazy and dishonest. When I finally get to pick up my BS they are starting at about a 2 star review and have a lot of work to do if they want to boost that up.

I never thought about time zone .. maybe that's why CSX and UP are not the same

Well, that would explain the perceived speedy timeline between Nogales and Portland. But it doesn't explain why Ford Chat wouldn't/couldn't give me a railcar number--perhaps just another part of the conspiracy to keep this whole process a mystery lol!

I sure hope you're right and I get that message tomorrow night! These last two weeks have been tougher than the almost 5 months I waited from order to build--so close but yet so far lol. But if it does happen that way, that still gives them 2 1/2 - 3 weeks to get it from Portland to my dealer based on the original timeline I was given. Seems reasonable, doesn't it?

Yeah, it does unfortunately sound that way. I'm hoping you get good news this week...from someone!

My dealership has done a good job...so far. But I've only dealt with the salesman. We'll see how I feel after navigating this final stretch of financing and taking delivery!

Ford chat always came back with the generic first until I pushed for specific information. If they didn't give you the autorack number it is because the person didn't pull up the VVR, which all those CSRs have access to. Most have been very helpful for me, but a couple seemed inconvenienced by having to do their jobs.

I'm in a unique position of being able to just write a check since my family put together the ability to just get this for my birthday. The F&I guy is going to hear no from me a lot.
