Unless you got a badlands, you don’t get recovery points common on normal cars. Don’t slide into the ditch in the snow.
The best reason to get a trailer hitch is to have a way to yank the thing out of a ditch if you oops during winter.
I never bothered looking under that door because mine didn’t come with a screw in hook anyway - or it is really well hidden ?
I was wondering if it was trim package related, I couldn’t find anything to support this on the Internet though.

I watch this thread for fun but people are always talking about other things that are missing. So I have had mine since March and never mentioned it before cause I wanted to see someone say it first, but here it isn't...
Ford Bronco Sport Upset over missing engine cover! PXL_20211006_134852306

The missing rear recovery point

?
do you have the factory tow package?
I just checked mine the recovery point is missing.
I do have the tow package that has a spot for hooks to go on the trailer hitch . Tow packag comes with a different bumper. Maybe they don’t include it with the tow package ? Or could the trailer hitch support be blocking it ?

You buy a Jeep you get a Fiat engine and Dodge electronics.
Subaru, Porsche engine, no thanks as all that tells me is those companies lost the ability to make good complete cars.
At least when I buy a Ford I get a FORD !
No. In all reality I have nothing to complain about at all.
I’m gonna stick with Ford from now on.
Yeah. The BMW engine now sits in a Toyota.

Here is something totally unrelated to this thread...

I have the tow package & have the threaded port for the recovery eyelet , that I will never use , the Hitch is a better point & not those hook up points for the safety chains on it .

I did. Used to have a PT and they share a lot of Neon parts throughout the car.

I have some very bad, terrible, awful news to tell you though about your belief that a Ford is a Ford. Ignoring that for years Mazda = Ford, the Bronco Sport in particular shares an important mechanical part with the Jeep Cherokee.

  • Mazdas we’re just as reliable and long lived as Ford, motors, chassis, body and all. Not fall apart buckets like the dodge neon.
Dodge knowingly repurposed a crappy car chassis and engine for the PT cruiser.
It was a cheap move that persuaded customers into buying a new cool looking body. At least when Ford shared parts with Jeep that was back when Jeep’s were Jeep’s.
IMO there is a big diff in sharing proven reliable parts parts and purchasing fiat and Porsche motors because a company can no longer develope and produce a reliable EPA compliant efficient engine.
,
I do remember the Ford Escort.
It was a charmer that many hated but it was all Ford if I remember correctly. The Escort was one sorry vehicle but it was cheap and often managed to get passed 100,000 miles before it detonated.
FWIW I was raised in a Chevy and Mopar family.
I had three Cuda’s, three Duster’s, three Camaro’s
My dad had several Impala’s
Two El’camino’s, a fairlane.
I did not name them all.
As far as I’m concerned the only American car companies are Ford and GM. Dodge still makes pick up trucks that feel American made but that’s about it.
Everything else looks like everything else. Jeep’s still look like Jeep’s:,P

Yes mine is missing!
I have several calls and texts into my dealership. So far the only information they have given me is that they have other BS's with missing covers...If i don't get answers soon I'm going to call Ford. When I ordered my BS they were shipping with engine covers...
My engine cover is missing also. I have just read one post about hood insulation missing. I was surprised to see mine has no insulation. Personally I think the engine is noisy, but my dealer says my Bronco didn’t come with a cover, and they could order me one. Don’t think I should have to pay for the cover and install. I’m going to call Ford today.

Read the whole thread and you'll learn that Ford removed the engine cover as a standard feature. I believe somewhere around the March-may build dates.
They really need to change this the thread name since the engine cover isn't missing if it's not supposed to be there anymore. You are confusing people who don't want to read 30 pages of BS BS when they are new here.

There’s also some good quality entertainment in this thread. One day I’ll take the time to re-read all 30 pages to re-live it ?
