Toyo Open Country AT3 are nice tires.
I highly recommend the toyo's almost 0% noticeable noise on pavement and a ton of grip offroad. Deep mud is their weekness I think. (See picture)They roll on gravel road like it is pavement. They don't weight much too. the Falken at3w that I have on my jeep are superior in mud. the tread are thicker and have more space between each. Can't compare for comfort or pavement because it's a 1996 Jeep loll

I don’t know many AT tires that are superior in mud. As you say, deep and wide grooves makes a big difference in mud.

The only issue I have with the OEM AT3s on the BLs is that they just have a SL rating.
OP's first post incuded the following:

Is the KO2 tire the best option or is there a better option for someone like me that primarily drives “city” roads but wants the look and size of a KO2 tire?
IMHO, you don't really need an XL-rated tire for looks. If you're planning to do some hardcore offroading, especially if you go by yourself without a buddy vehicle, then tough tires are a must. The OEM Falkens will be fine for OP's stated needs.

The only issue I have with the OEM AT3s on the BLs is that they just have a SL rating, without having at least a XL rating. I know Ford did this due to the fact the OEM AT3s weigh in at only 31lbs, and fuel economy among other criteria was the main issue. You can see this when you move up to the 245/65/17 tire as it is an XL and you can see the protrusions on the sidewall are much more pronounced and not to mention the tire weighs in at 37lbs, still quite a bit lighter than the BFG KO2s.
That was my problem with the stock Falkens, great tire but didn't hold up off road. Two flats and then I finally switched. No change in gas mileage with my Maxxis Razr AT's and great off-road so far. If I was sticking to more on road like the OP, then I'd probably just stick with the stock Falkens.

I have a ‘22 Bronco Sport Base that is stock at the moment but was looking into putting new tires on the car. I was referred to the KO2 tires in the 245/65/r17 for both “city” and off road driving.
Is the KO2 tire the best option or is there a better option for someone like me that primarily drives “city” roads but wants the look and size of a KO2 tire?
BFG 245/70 R17 KO2. ‘22 Badlands, no lift.

I second that Falken A/T Trail recommendation. I use them everywhere in all conditions to great effect -- but don't do any rock crawling. Just trails, rain, mud, snow, roadway. I don't know if 245/65-17 is wise or not on the base trim(s), e.g. at full turn of the wheel, or full articulation on any wheel. If it clears at full turn AND you're not expecting to bottom out on any "terrain," I might do it -- it's what I have on my Badlands though.
I just started looking into the Falken A/T Trail tires. What size would you then recommend? I do want a larger tire on my car because of the amount of clearance I still have running stock tires. Also, I do want to start driving off road sooner rather than later, mainly to explore and see now areas around where I live, but would you recommend the 235's or the 245's? If that all makes sense.

I was tempted by 245/70-17's on my BL but didn't dare -- so 245/65-17 seem just right for mine. Maybe a 235/65-17 for your Base?

I talked to someone that knows cars and used to be a mechanic and he said that the 245's should be fine. It's just a matter of finding the right tire which I was able to while talking to them last night.

Are you running those 245/70 r17’s? Any rubbing on turn? What about after bumps?
