I've known most of these tips but for those who don't.

AI Slop? I notice the "mechanic" never appears and the whole video is just stock clips.
The guy narrating the video said he has worked on Ecoboost engines for 15 years. Take his advice or not. That's your choice.

That guy has tons of videos, mostly on pick up trucks, but he’s pretty thorough and covers a lot of different subjects. I enjoy watching and listening to him

I think this guy knows fuck all. The turbo has a check valve that holds oil pressure in turbo after shut off and helps when starting.
most newer diesels have this probably since before 2000

I thought so too. I think I heard it call an F150 an "F onehundred fifty." I don't think a human would do that.

Also, was an air induction engineer for about 4 years, and the statement about a dirty filter causing particles to pass through is just plain false. Dirty filters do a better job of filtering than clean filters. The added particles trapped in the filter help catch more particles and make the path more arduous. Dirty filters DO create more restriction, so you have to pick your poison.

But in general, I didn't think it was terrible advice.

100% AI. Though, that’s just the spoken words, not necessarily the written script, or the advice behind it.

Still, I’m wary of any advice that has AI in any form behind it. Short of a speech disability, I consider it lazy and suspect.

Frequent oil changes with a group IV or at least a group III quality oil. Easy in start up and cool down on long or hard drives.

Thank you for posting the truth! They had a filter press at a place I use to work. It filtered copper flock out of water so it could be put to drain and that is exactly how it works!

A lot of nit picking going on here, a clean filter is better for an engine than a dirty one, no question. Also an old dirty filter can degrade over time from dampness and excessive force from vacuum etc. sustaining small tears or perforations that would let contaminates through.
Im sure no one here would let their filter get that bad but I have seen it happen.
There are lots of AI videos but its the message that matters and though they sometimes cover subjects too simple for most of us experts as long as they arent putting out misinformation its fine with me. šŸ˜€
