A (seemingly) simple thought experiment:

You've ordered a Bronco Sport, and the day arrives for you to go to the dealer and take delivery.

On arrival, you see parked next to yours, an identical brand new Bronco Sport; same trim, color, options, everything. You have to check the VIN to see which one is "yours".

The salesperson tells you they both came in at the same time, and gives you the option of either one for the same price, same deal.

Which one would you take and why? Don't jump to an answer, noodle it for a few minutes. o_O

I’d probably look at what day they were actually built.

Besides looking them both over carefully for scratches, dings on the outside or something wrong inside, drive them both before deciding in case anything obvious like rattles or bad driving characteristics show up. Also make sure you have anything wrong on delivery that is not fixed before driving off the lot is on a list of items owed to you by the dealer. After that it's a crap shoot since some things might not be noticed until driven regularly.

Depends which one has the better VIN. They're likely not sequential despite all that.

inspect for defects, test both, and decide which one feels better. No real reason to stick with the original vin if the other one feels/looks better.
