I'm assuming I now have the same issue with the rattling, took it to the dealership and was quoted very high for a new muffler. Wondering if the aftermarket route is the way to go.

Is this the sound you were hearing? I only hear this when idling while it is warming up and usually it goes away after driving for a bit. The dealer checked all the heat shields as well as exhaust hangers and determined it was something inside the muffler causing the noise.

yup, that's what they told me was rocks on top of the muffler caught between the muffler and one of the shields. the only way to get them out is to drop the muffler so I might try that.

I'm considering going aftermarket just to get around possibly having to replace it again later.

no rattle or stuck stones. :)
Thanks for posting the pic, looks like very clean and professional looking product and installatIon!

for your 2025 Badlands, did the install require any cutting at all of any portion of the vehicle itself?

See red arrow: The 45° bend pipe into the muffler (from the vehicles exhaust pipe) perfectly & smoothly curves along the existing metal of the vehicle (maybe is a heat shield)

See red circle: And the beginning of the muffler perfectly notches in with the existing metal of the vehicle

Did either of those two areas or other areas of the vehicle require notching or cutting?

no cutting other than the stock muffler. I think it is just the angle I took the picture at. It will be on the hoist Saturday and will get more photos.

in the meantime here is the top of the stock muffler. It’s like a giant shelf! LOL!

I am just wondering about the heat shield myself, if they can be reshaped or whatnot to prevent anything from getting trapped. I want to keep the stock look and quietness.

Mine has this exact sound but after i took the car through a car wash it subsided. Can I still take it into the dealer for it to be addressed? I'm still under warranty...

It was soooooo loud (like this) before

I would if it is still under warranty, I'm outside the warranty period and am starting to look into aftermarket options
