We’ve been hard at work dialing in an axle-back system that complements the Bronco Sport’s capability and adds the sound and style many owners have been asking for.

This new MRT Trail Rated Axle-Back Exhaust is built from T304 stainless steel to last the life of your Bronco Sport and features a high-clearance turndown tip that tucks up and out of the way for extra off-road functionality.

Sound clips and a closer look at the system are coming soon.

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading the tone and trail-readiness of your Bronco Sport, stay tuned. 👇 Let us know your thoughts or what you’d want to hear from the final system.

What is involved with the development of this product? I'm intrigued...

Great question!

We’re really close to launching the Trail Rated Axle-Back for the Bronco Sport. The process usually starts pretty simply—we pull off the stock muffler and fire the truck up to hear what the engine actually sounds like on its own. That gives us a good baseline.

From there, we build a couple prototype setups and start testing. We’re looking for a tone that sounds great at idle, on the road, and doesn’t have any annoying drone. Then we tweak things until we land on something we’re proud of.

Nice you tested it on a 2L not like every other sound clip ive seen.

although i dont hear much of a difference. Ill have to watch again when im not in a noisy mechanical room.
The Trail Rated version really hits the sweet spot for us. It’s how we think the Bronco Sport should’ve sounded from the factory — deeper tone, a little more presence, but nothing too over the top. It complements the rugged look without being obnoxious.

More detailed sound clips are coming in the next few days, so stay tuned!

Very nice!!!

And you changed out the Goodyear Tires on your 2025 for BFGs? Was there a reason for not liking the 2025 OE Goodyear Tires or just prefer the more aggressive BFGs?

This Bronco Sport belongs to a longtime friend of MRT. I can’t speak to the exact reason for the tire swap, but a little birdie told me he might be joining the forum soon — so he might be able to share the “why” himself soon enough. 👀

Hey hey! That’s my 2025 BS Badlands!

I’ve had the MRT Trail Rated system on now for a while and love it! It is a huge improvement over the super restrictive stock exhaust!

here’s probably one of the better clips I have:

As for tires…. The stock Continentals were terrible both on road and off. So I immediately swapped to the BFG Trail Terrains. I thought about KO2s but didn’t want to kill my MPG. Well after a week or so it became apparent that my MPG had really improved with the straight thru design of the MRT system. Enough so I decided to not only switch to KO2s but also go up to the 245 size!

New Bronco Sport Exhaust Comparison – Trail Rated vs Stock 🔊

Hey everyone!

We just dropped a new video comparing the stock Bronco Sport exhaust to our new Trail Rated Axle Back system. If you’ve been curious about what a deeper, more rugged tone could sound like on your Bronco Sport, this one’s for you.

The Trail Rated system adds some real personality—from the first start-up to when you shut it down. It’s not overbearing or obnoxious—just a nice baritone growl that finally gives the Bronco Sport a voice that fits its capable design.

One thing to note on the new video. After a few hundred miles the MRT system has a chance to “season” giving it a more refined sound…perhaps a bit deeper as well.

Ricer sound...hard pass 😕
i think in the last video the stock revs have more of a raspy ricer tone than the MRT.

i wonder how long it woukd take my wife to notice? I ado like the dual tip designs better, but i can see how this would be better for trails being tucked in more than even the factory with better flow also.
