I cannot get this to download. It keeps stopping about halfway through saying connection lost. It's also downloading pretty slow, about 10 MB/s or whatever. Speedtest says I'm getting 367 Mb/s.

I know there's some difference between the MB and Mb but I'm just saying what's reported to me.

I'm going to try one last time before restarting everything. I was just worried about not being able to access the page a second time.

Their page had some server issues the other day when I was trying to access it. You should be able to easily get right back to the download page from the confirmation email they sent you. My download did the same thing, where it would pause for a minute then pick back up on the download.

What OS are you using to download? Also, how are you connecting to your ISP, Wi-Fi or wired?

I'm using macOS 14.0 Sonoma and Spectrum via WiFi over Safari. I cannot use a wired connection at this time.

I restarted everything and I'm trying again through Chrome. Safari had the same issue after the restarts.

This is a very large download. Do not let your Mac go to sleep during the download.

This download usually takes around an hour to download.

I'm here with it. It's about 75% done downloading through Chrome. It was either a network issue that's been resolved or something with Safari.

Chrome worked!

I'm installing it right now. The Sync3 update installed pretty fast using a new SanDisk flash drive I bought yesterday.

Apparently the download didn't work for me. It shows as complete, but there is one file (4U5T-14G421-CHF.tar.gz) in the SynCMyRide folder that cannot be properly extracted and copied to the USB. Bummer. Especially as the update site won't let me try the download again; it wants me to pay for the USB stick.

Does anyone have a list of the features that have changed?

I gave up a while ago on downloading from computer and just pay the $40 to get the drive from Ford ..I’ve not had opportunity to use it yet to see differences , others have said it’s smoother and the voice response is better

You should not be extracting the folders from the download.
These are completely new maps and voice controls.

Are you using Windows 10/11 or MacOS?

Do you have the installation instruction download?

Have you downloaded the license file and copied into the SyncMyRide folder?

Well, I need to open (i.e., extract) the compressed "Sync32.zip" file that I downloaded from the web in order to copy the files onto the USB drive. The problematic file is located inside the SyncMyRide folder that's inside that zip file. It copies everything onto the USB except for the specific file I mentioned above.

You do not need to extract the folder to look inside or copy something into the folder. The files need to remain compressed on the USB flash drive.

Dude, no need to yell. I write software for a living, I know how to copy a file.

However the zip file is opened/viewed, when I attempt to copy it to the USB, this is the error I get. If I press Skip, all other files are successfully copied to the USB.

I had issues last year with my download. I had to contact Sync Navigation Support to have them send me the files again. If you contact them and give them your VIN they should be able to gove you the download link again. Alternatively I could just share that file with you and you can replace that file. I'll DM you a link if you want
