Very happy with the setup so far. We explored the Panamint valley south of Ballarat. Found the limits on clearance, had to stack rocks in one spot, but grip was great on the loose rocky bits. Didn’t take enough pictures, but here’s some wild burros.

So I got 6mm wheel spacers to get the offset back to stock. I only had 6-7 threads engaged, which seems like about maximum strength of a threaded connection to me, but I got extended thread lug nuts just in case. Everyone says 9 turns on 12x1.5 minimum. I also added some vinyl caps to keep crud out of the hubs. There wasn’t anything for a regular center cap to clip to.

Nice I have seen just 2 other bs in the valley
I really like that look with those rims.
Did you put the same for your spare?
And did it fit inside?
I’m another valley sport. Have only seen a couple near me.

I need to get rid of my factory spare. I’m pretty sure I test fit these in these in the spare well, but maybe I should double check

Finally got around to double checking the fit. Fits, lifts up the load floor by maybe an 1/8”.

Oh, I guess they were 5mm from Amazon.

Wheels are bolt centric, so probably could have used cheaper universal ones. Any 5x108 spacer with >63.4mm bore would work.

The aspect ratio is important off road. The more rubber between you and the rocks, the smoother the ride. The trend to low aspect is great for race cars, and gas mileage but terrible for the rough ride. My wife's Hundai has low aspect ratio tires and rides rougher than my Jeep Liberty with KO2s. If you're a towny, the 18" wheels will work fine.
